  1. Ohhh, morning Deb. I'm just about to head to bed but I'll stay and check out those links first.

  2. Evening, ladies, I just emailed you both, haven't seen any sign of your storm yet, MS, perhaps it's not planning to visit over our way...

  3. Evening Jan and Jane :)

I actually had rain all day long, steady for the most part down to drizzles this evening on the way in.

  4. Savannah Mae is gorgeous. Love the black and white friends. Is that the Easter Bunnies basket? I do like the under stair storage idea but where would I fit the blow-up boat, the pushchair and the ton of other junk that inhabits my understair area? I just love the 'choose your own path' and someone has a twisted sense of humour, the kind I like.
Is that a library or a bathroom, can't be both surely. Wow, a pirate ship, if only it came with Johnny Depp.

  5. Wow, Deb, that's almost unheard of, isn't it?

  6. Evening Jcat, got the email. Deb, did it rain at your house?
Almost ready for bed but HRH still won't come inside, grrrrrrrrrr.

    Posted 6 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  7. Ya know if the ship came with JD, oh heck yeah!!!

I thought the same thing on the library/bathroom, I understand dual purposes but geesh!

The steps were unique, but would hate to have 'em if you had parties and anyone got tipsy or whatever. Now headaches or balance issues may not like them either.

Yes it is rather unusual for us to get rain right now, it was coming up from Mexico and a storm they were having. My backyard actually flooded pretty much, had to move the bird seed and the patio kitty's food so it wouldn't float away.

  8. I've waited for HRH long enough and I'm off to bed now.
Deb, rest well and safe trip, we'll be with you and thinking of you.
    Jcat, sweet dreams.
Headbonks to The Crew,Libs & Millie.
    Nighty night.

  9. G'night Jan, sleep well and have sweet dreams, scritches to the Princess when she deigns to come inside.

  10. Nighty-night, MS, sleep well and sweet dreams. He hee, Deb, isn't the bendy kitty lovely? Milly does bend like that, but she slumps forwards over my arm and over my shoulder, lol, and sometimes ends up halfway down my back...

  11. Morning/evening, ladies!
I've been up since 2:30 - wheezing and coughing and not breathing well. At 4:30, I started hearing very loud noises in the livingroom wall - lots of scraping. It was loud enough that I went outside to see if it was one of the stray cats scratching on something outside, or maybe on the roof, but there was nothing there. There was most certainly something in the wall, though, and the boys were mesmerized by it. This is the second time I've heard it - 3 in the afternoon and 4:30 in the early morning. It freaked me out so much I left super early for work just to get out of there!

I'm back to dog-walking three times a day this week. In-between that, I will have to try and find time to go to the doctor. I've got to get this breathing issue treated. I've also developed a wet cough over the last few days that's got me thinking bronchitis or pneumonia which I'm prone to. Ick - I'm scared of the doctor and I don't want to go!!!!

Posted 6 months ago by GD #

  12. Jane, lol I thought bendy kitty was too cute >^..^<

Morning GD, sorry you were freaked by the noise....do you think it could be birds maybe somehow getting into the wall? Hope that the breathing issue is addressed by the doctor.

  13. It sounded like something big, Deb. This time it was an outer wall, last time it was the wall between the bedroom and bathroom. I'm going to call the property manager and have him check it out, or get someone out to check it out.

As for the breathing issue, I've been wheezing since I had bronchitis back in the beginning of the year. The last time I was at the doctor's (over the summer) with stomach issues, I mentioned the wheezing and he mentioned testing for asthma. I was thinking the breathing could be related to my tummy troubles, like GERD or something, but looking back, I was wheezing before the stomach issues started (from too many antibiotics). And I don't think a wet cough fits in with that.

  14. Oh, GD, that's too bad. It couldn't be a raccoon or something that can get in from underneath, could it? Do you have a handyman at the flats who could investigate for you?

You definitely have to go to the doctor (*speaking sternly*), I hate going to the doctor too but the sooner you do it, the sooner you can get better and putting something off only makes it harder to do. Bronchitis and pneumonia are nothing to be messed around with, especially if you know you're prone. Milo and Bobby depend on their meowmy, they need you to be well!

  15. Agree with GD....go to the doctor pls...

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  16. I will, ladies - I need to be able to breathe :)

There's a property manager who manages a few houses for the landlord. He's the one who showed me the place, I've never met the landlord. This guy paints, replaces a/c filters etc. and seems like a good guy. I'm going to give him a call today.
Also, I noticed a lot of dead ants on my floors when I came home yesterday. I had specifically told the property mgr that I did not want anyone spraying inside my unit, because of the cats. And that if they're using stuff that isn't harmful to cats, I still want to be notified of when they'll be there. so I can be home and make sure one of my boys doesn't escape. Grrr!

Posted 6 months ago by GD #

  17. I hope it's not a mutant giant ant inside your wall.... ;-)

Definitely give the property manager a call, of course you need to be notified if they're going to be in your apartment!

    Off to bed I go. Deb, hope the drive tomorrow goes smoothly. {{{Deb}}}

GD, have a great day and please look after yourself! Nighty-night!

Posted 6 months ago by jcat #

  18. I'll call him today. And go to the doctor. And walk dogs three times. And go to work twice. Arrrgh! But I really don't want to stay at the apartment till this is resolved, so I'm definitely calling the guy!

Posted 6 months ago by GD #

  19. By the way, still no signs of intruders inside the unit itself. No droppings, no eaten food, no chewed bags and boxes of food, nothing. But arrrgh!

  20. Morning all!....... GD, I've had large rodents (we do live in Fla. near the water, so they're common) get stuck in the wall, or squirrels get in the attic and sometimes crawl around the attic and slip down between the walls......... the only way I know to get rid of them is to bait the attic, capture them, and then patch/repair their entry places.........many time it holes they've chewed in the fascia or screening under neath............ good luck!.........

Morning MC, Jcat, and Deb.......... nighty night, MS! I hope you get the rain you need, but not too much............. it's been beautiful around here this last week!

  21. Morning AV, enjoy your good weather.

G'night Jane, sleep well and have sweet dreams, scritches to Libs and the bendy kitty :)

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  22. But I don't want large rodents in my wall!!!!

Posted 6 months ago by GD #

  23. GD, we know none of us would like any size of rodents!

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  24. I know............. but like I said, unfortunately, they're common in our state!............I'm sure your 'handy' guy can trap them......... peanut butter seems to be the best bait............. I think you remember me posting about Mr. AV 'rehoming' about a dozen squirrels that were eating our plants last year............a few 'rodent cousins' also got relocated in that little adventure!

...........must run out to w**k now, I don't seem to get NEAR enough time these days to chat!..........not fair!!!...........Deb, I hope you get your home computer back up and running soon!........... have a great day/evening everyone!

...........and BTW, Jcat - I absolutely 'live' to see the pictures of Millie's progress............ so cute, keep 'em coming!

Posted 6 months ago by AV #

  25. I think I'd prefer a raccoon or possum. Or maybe a stray kitty who's got a way of getting in and out from outside.

Posted 6 months ago by GD #

  26. Hope you resolve your problem, GD. There's nothing worse than an unexplained noise.
Hope everyone has a better day ahead.

  27. That's for sure, LK.I was freaking out!
Just got an email to walk two dogs in the part of town where I used to live today, in addition to the daily three walks of the German shepherds and the doctor's visit. At least the two dogs I just picked up are close to my doctor, so it's doable - I think!
