  1. Yummy fresh noms are here, as well as hot and cold drinks. Java to jump start your day, herbal tea to help you relax, and everything in between!
The tabby cats are in charge today - love those stripes and their ever memorable "M" foreheads!
    Welcome!

  3. Hi JK! I saw my neighborhood tuxie this morning and though of you - because I call him Tux/Tuxie! He's so handsome - jet black with a huge triangle white bib.

  4. Gotta luv those well suited kits. Often thought of getting a tuxie but the Maine Coons keep on showing up on my doorstep! (Guess I'm just the country girl kind of meomy vs hi-society dame!!) So have to have to be satisfied with TDK's Tux for now!!!

  6. Morning girls!
I'm home for an hour to try and put more furniture together. Then it's dog-walking time again. Finally had time to have breakfast just now so I can take my meds.

When I got home, Mi didn't come running like he usually does and I heard him crying for me a couple of times. I found the little numbskull sitting in the tub crying for me to turn on the faucet so he could have a drink. And yes, he had a full bowl of water!

  9. Hi Kids!
Just got home from the eye dr.....am trying some soft multi-focal contact lenses.....have had the hard, gas permeable lenses for upteen years....they tell me my eyes have to adjust to these tri-focal lenses....well, these eyes are old and may not be trained so easily, lol. I noticed on the drive home that I couldn't read the signs till I got almost up to them, lol...but then, I know my way, so don't need to read them...hopefully this will improve! OY!
Awww, Mi is a faucet drinker, my Gizmo was, too! Neither one of my boys is interested, they have no clue :)
It was 18 degrees when I got up this morning! Now, it's a balmy 28!
    Have a good afternoon!

  10. Awww, Mi. *smooch* Could you come to NY and teach Georgie to drink out of faucets? Maybe he'd drink more water that way.

Careful KH, we can't have you driving into things. Hope the lenses improve quickly.

  11. How is ol' Georgie doing these days???

Posted 6 months ago by katthays #

  12. He's pretty much all better. We have to leave him this weekend to go to a family wedding; I'm hoping there won't be any problems.

  13. Hi everyone! (waves)

I loved that story about the deer being carried off to the side of the road :-) Only in Michigan....

  14. Glad he is feeling better....I hope he does well when you're away....I hate leaving my boys, even for an all-day thing!

  15. I thought of you Sio! I get separation anxiety leaving my fuzzy ones too. My sis works at an animal hospital - every now and then she texts me to tell me who she has sitting on her lap.
Glad Georgie is feeling better. Leela feels much better too - haven't heard a sneeze in at least a day.

  16. Have to admit, these babies are cute!

In NJ, approx 90% of the bat population has been wiped out due to disease, which is bad because the mosquito population has skyrocketed. I haven't seen a bat around my home in at least 3 years.

  17. Hmm...had bats up north growing up...yup, I guess they are kinda cute in their own way...

This has nothing to do w/bats but read an interesting article on bread at lunch...hope it comes up!
    www.onmilwaukee.com/myOMC/authors/jeffsherman/breadistoast.html
Check it out...worth it regarding "wheat belly" syndrom!

Fixed it...should work now w/2P's help!

  18. JK... you need to remove one 'm' from the .com.... :) or whoever views this will need to do that for it to come up. Very interesting article !

  19. Pickle's been fighting again. I'm now having to bathe her face 3 times a day in warm salt water.

She doesn't appreciate it, but it's that or the vet ....

    Posted 6 months ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  20. Thanks 2Pop!!!
Aw Pickles, no more fighting or back to the Vet!!!

Posted 6 months ago by jeankit #

  21. Pickle says "You should see the other guy!" Silly Pickles, stay out of fights.

Posted 6 months ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

  22. I'm not sure what she is saying is as polite as that, while I'm bathing her face. I think it's probably a good thing that my command of "cat" is limited. I get the tone, but can't interpret the individual words!

    Posted 6 months ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  23. Aww, I had seen photos of the bat babies, but the video is even better.

    Pickle, behave!

  27. Hey, by 5pm tomorrow I'll be ready to try anything, so bring it on!
Hubby's not around but he set the woodburner ready for me to light so now it's toasty in here - Leela's passed out right in front of it. She loves it when daddy makes it summertime!

Posted 6 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  28. Joan, that sounds lovely!....... my hubby is out too tonite, business meeting...... it's not 'cold' here, but the coldfront did make it down here enough to get us in the low 60s tonight!........

Abby is sitting next to me (in her Daddy's chair), and I just turned the heating pad on for her.....................LOL............. no, she's not spoiled!!!

  29. I'm so ready for a meet-up and to get out of town!!
I'm going to check my tennis tournament calendar and make sure I have no preparatory meetings during that time. Don't think I've mentioned it, but I got promoted to Assistant Director of Volunteers for the 2012 tournament in the end of February. I told them the Transportation department is my "baby" and that I won't give it up, so they've told me to pick a couple of assistants to help me out. The Director will be busy during the tournament since she wears a few hats as well - she's in charge of social media, the cheerleading squad, and something else I can't remember. So she needs me to handle 300 volunteers during the tournament, basically. Phew! Lots of prep work and meetings, so I hope the meet-up will be during a free weekend.

  30. I would love to do a meetup, that would be awesome. End of January might be tricky, though, since that's right before my job ends.

Speaking of which, the head of the libraries from Atlanta was in NY today to act all concerned and tell us all about the wonderful new opportunities available in Atlanta. She *really* doesn't get it. I kept my head down & said about 3 words to her.
