  2. 3 words Kilroy? I think I could have done it with just 2 words. Fluffy policy prevents me from sharing though. Although one has to consider that she probably wasnt enjoying her job right at that moment, must have been hard for her.

    Sky........... *sighs* my friend, if ONLY there were reasonable flights from SA to Fla................ and from NZ................. now wouldn't that be our 'dream meet up'!

  5. Lol Sky - I believe I'm thinking what you're thinking. Virtual shoulders here for you to lean on Kilroy.
    Miss Leela has moved back a bit from the fire - it's not as hot as it would be in the winter, but her fur still gets pretty hot. There is certainly a chill in the air tonight - just went out to put the recyclables out, brrr! Would like to check out the meteor shower tonight, but maybe I'll just go upstairs and turn off the lights and watch from inside. Either that or get the fire good and hot so I can warm up when I come back in.

  9. By the way, I finished assembling my Ikea dining room set today - table and four chairs. I want to have GG over for dinner this weekend - he hasn't seen the place yet because I wanted to get it in order first. I onpacked my crock pot a few days ago and am thinking of making my first-ever meal in it for him. I'll have to find the crock pot thread here.

    I also googled it and found a few interesting ones. One is a beef curry stew (I love curry), then there's beef stroganoff and also sloppy joes. Yummy!

    I'm getting there, Joan. Replaced the last two drip plates on the stove today, and assembled the rest of the dining room set. Didn't find the sofa table I wanted at Ikea, but got two end tables that I wanted anyway and can pust together for now to make a sofa table.

  14. I actually had to sit and think for a moment what V-chatting was . . . Somedays I'm ashamed of myself.

    Wanted to go to egypt this year, see all the temples. Was saving up, saw travel agents, got passport papers, almost got excited about it. And then the middle of just about every country went kaboom . . . *sigh*

  16. Sky, I LOVE stew!............. and GD, crockpot stew is AWESOME!.......

    .............. I will say, I do brown the beef before I add it to the pot, and then all the veggies, tomatoes and sauce just make it melt in the mouth tender!.............

    ............ now that I have tomorrow off, looks like I'll be heading to the grocery for 'stew' ingredients........... I've heard of earworms.......... but I think ya'll have given me a 'head worm'............. LOL

  17. You've got crockpot worm AV! I use beef cubes, potatoes, carrots, celery and some beef-broth based soup - throw it all in and in a few hours, the house smells awesome! Hmmm, I sense a beef stew in my weekend future...

  22. I never seem to think of tomatoes. I do have a can of crushed tomatoes and there are some grape tomatoes in the fridge - I will have to remember to throw them in!

  23. AV... Where and when.... Supposed to have family visiting here about that time. Also, if you need to stock up on butter... Publix Brand, 1 lb, is 2/4.00, until the 23rd. :) Lots of good bogo's too.
