  1. Thank you, Emma. I have more tears now but what a beautiful scene. Thank you everyone for your good thoughts. It is hard to let her go but I'd rather had her and known the pain then to never know her and have no pain. She is worth the pain--they all are.

  4. Good years for me, too. She would sit in front of a fan and smile when the breeze would blow her hair back. She loved that when she was younger. She didn't purr for me for 8 years but she would curl up by Lucy and purr really loudly. I could hear her across the room. She loved attention from me but never asked for it. After Lucy died she became my cat. She liked to cuddle under the blankets at night with me. After 8 years she would sit on my lap and purr or curl beside on the couch. I held her the morning she died and she purred for a little while. She didn't want to be held much that last day. At the vets office she lay on the table with her head on my hand and purred a little. I stroked her and told her what a good kitty she had been and how much I loved her.

  6. Just seeing this now, CTR. My condolences on the loss of your Sophie. I, too, have a soft spot for torties and have had my sweet, timid, Lady Coco a wonderful 16 years. Goodspeed, Sophie.

  7. So sorry for your loss. My Sheba is almost 17 and she's having kidney issues now. I have to start sub-q fluids next week to keep her from feeling sick. I know it will be her time soon too. {{{HUGS}}}
