  7. You guys have me craving a liverwurst and swiss cheese on rye!

Posted 6 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  8. ah, liverwurst...never thought id enjoy it, but it does have a place in my heart. not enough to buy it myself, but my mother's father would share it with me. it was one of the few times as i grew out of my cute stage (4-5 years old) that we'd get along.

  9. *snore* I THINK that Mr. WWM and I were watching a SciFi movie (hate those) when I sort of realized that lots had transpired. So, I am off to bed with my book and he can watch the aliens wipe out LA. Which, in thinking about it, would not be all bad.

  10. i just had a hard lemonade while watching old house, md dvd's. i still don't see what is hard about the lemonade.it goes down very easy !!!

  11. Oooh, I like hard lemonade!

Well cat lovers, I am going to see who wins "Chopped" - the Thanksgiving edition, then go to bed. Have a great evening!

  12. Cheri that is a lot of sugar in that as well. Hoping that because you are leaving your job you haven't decided to stop working on your goal to get diabetes under control. You have worked so very hard.

  13. Thanks my friends! I love you ALL so very much. Had a good cry and and even better conversation that needed to be had. I'm wiped out and going to bed but consider all of you hugged really, really tight!

  14. thank you for your concern. i am doing well on both my diabetes control and my health in general. i am losing weight by not eating as much...

BTW, the monkey bread was a partial failure. the "glaze"n top became a hard thick layer of caranel. it was too hard to eat so I took it off and now its tastes good. it now has onlyhalf the sugar and i am fine with that...

  15. Peeks in while taking a moment's break here @ that place....its been busy this evening so far and only 3 hrs left of this shift.

CSBM, I wouldn't have a clue what to tell you on the monkey bread having never making it before. My daughter makes is quite regularly and says that her's turns out well.

  16. Seems that no one is awake or they are busy elsewhere so I will go ahead and close the NS out for the evening....

It's 5 am in AZ and its been 3 hrs since the last entry on the NS, ... the night is warmish in NZ ..... getting cooler in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters or the a/c, so here goes gratis Moonshadow, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...
    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows slightly open for Southern TDKers' spring/summer and closed for Northern TDKers' fall/winter.

May those who need healing energy for themselves, their families or this furry ones receive them. May those who need positive energy for the aches/hurts in their hearts and souls receive them also.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land.

  17. *peeks* in the NS.................. kitties snoring softly........... it's a beautiful Sunday here now, had a great night's rest, and will be puttzing around today doing Hazel's chores............ not too bad, I've been keeping up with things, and am pretty much set for Thanksgiving, except for food shopping............... next week will be slow at work, so I'll make my lists and try and shop of 'off' times, not when the majority of people do............

........ hope everyone is excited getting ready for the holidays, we'll all have to 'diet' the following week! LOL

  18. Morning AV!!!! I am so ready to scream in here, service monkeys could help us more.....that should describe it in a nutshell, ballpark, yadda yadda yadda.....oh yeah, have a large, really healthy looking skunk that shows up in my backyard every morning to eat the cat food left out for the patio kitty who visits at times.

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  19. CCs and girley men outta control today, Deb?!.............. hang in there....

..... I wonder if Odie sent a cousin to your patio to 'scope' things out - LOL!........... can you put the food bowl on a table or chair - skunks can't climb like cats can....................

Posted 6 months ago by AV #

  20. AV, I am not really worried about the skunk bothering anything, seems that the outdoor kitty comes earlier in the evening and the skunk shows up about 3-4 a.m.....lots of people caught crossing tonight and we are doing the paperwork for them.....thank goodness the noise in my ears has been relatively quiet

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  21. ....ahhhhhh, the truth comes out.......... you don't mind if the skunk 'shares' the patio food...........Deb, I think you have a soft spot in your heart for any animal........... just like my Son (((hugs)))

.... at least the head is cooperating........... paperwork can be mind-boggeling, particularly with a pounding head!

Posted 6 months ago by AV #

  22. AV, yes I do except maybe reptiles and bugs....don't know about them so much.

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  23. Most of the paperwork goes really quickly, then we get the ones where they have multiple names, dob's, ssn's, etc.....have to run all of them....makes it tedious but it has to be done.

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  24. LOL!..... *admits* to the same tendency to 'feed anything that comes around'.......... drives Mr. AV crazy!!! LOL

Posted 6 months ago by AV #

  25. Lol, yeah my best friend feeds a very small herd of javalinas.....they stand stock-still when she goes out in the dark to put the veggies out for them. Its funny to see them, they are big animals and try to stand as if no one can see them if they don't move :)

Figure I feed about 100 + birds every day, about 10-12 feral cats so why not a skunk too.

Posted 6 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. awwwwwww........... I love the kitty with the bunny

  27. 'he can watch the aliens wipe out LA. Which, in thinking about it, would not be all bad.'

lol agreed there. there's so many nutcases and trash. though, to be honest, there's trash everywhere. the aliens could take out all the trashy people of the world, and leave the good ones. no violence or anything, just make all the dirty shameful trashy people vanish *blip* and leave the good ones. that would rock.

    cute links, deb.

ah, u know that's one thing takes getting used to here. we do not have skunks that i am aware of in new york city proper unless they sneak in the parks, like flushing meadows park or sumthing. i do still smell what seems like skunk come thru my window at times, although that could be something else. i do tend to smell pot wafting up my window, or thru the neighbourhood, and to be frank, it's not a smell i like. it smells like cack and burning tires. my neighbour had to tell me what it was. but when i was in PA, i was walking to work one morning when i was at a sewing factory, and there was a skunk. it just stared at me, thankfully. i just let it do its thing and moved on. we used to frequently have skunks in the yard. we have a larger abundance of squirrels and pidgeons here.

  28. Deb....Thanks for the pics. I really enjoyed them. It was hard to choose the all-time best but if I had to.....
    Rosie & her gorgeous blackness
Mckenzie made me laugh w/his rolling in 'horsepat'
Possum was calming w/her soaking in the sunrays. A tortie after my own heart.
Frankie had the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen & the silky coat..wow.
    Vapor,the Gry. & Wht. pup....I want.I want.I want. I'd be a dog person again if I could have him & his beauty.
