  2. Noms & brews are ready with kits to cuddle galore! Name your fave treat and you will be served with a purr & headbonk too!
It is sunny & pleasant in brewtown for Dec 1st! Walk in was almost purrfect except little persian wasn't in the window today...maybe on way back!
I had a first last nite! Lucky came around for his noms and stood up at the door & wanted to come in! Walked right in to check things out...had some noms too! Stayed for about 1-1/2 hours than back out he went...it's working! By the time it snows I will lock the door & make him stay! (Usually had to grab him under protest soooo...that is my yay story for today!) Anyway I need a very large cuppa joe & some cinny raisin toast to start today's fun. Now a smooch for Tux w/paw up as waves to all who stop in, later...

Abby is thrilled that Meowmy is home, she has stationed herself about 5' in front of my desk, where the sunlight streams in through the french doors.......... life is good in her book!

  5. Hello! Sounds like you will have a new resident by winter, JK - Lucky will be lucky with you!
I'm sure Leela is at her spot that gets mid-morning sun. She can snooze or watch the birds - best of both worlds!

  11. Gosh it's quiet in the cafe - the chef kittehs have started an impromptu game of soccer with a aluminum foil ball!

  15. BIG bunch of sun is pouring through my office window right now.

    ahhhhh.......................

if I were a kitteh, I'd be stretchin' out in that sun...

Posted 5 months ago by Siobhan #

  16. I won't tell if you won't JK!

This time of year the sun comes in my window for about 4 hours - it's just about gone now, but earlier (even though I was a bit blinded!) it felt great on my face. Let's hear it for vitamin D!

  17. Just bought a pretty poinsettia from the PTO for the office. It's pink - brightens up the place!

Posted 5 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  18. You've added a festive touch. I too enjoy the pastel or white ones. Don't usually have them at home because of their toxicity to cats.
Ooo is it happy hour yet, how about a pointsettia cocktail

  19. Afternoon everyone...

Have been out looking for a purple Xmas tree, the only one I can find is at a local grocery store. So that was my morning besides going in for labs before my appt next week with the doc for a checkup. I did mange to buy the granddaughters Xmas presents, thank goodness for Amazon and their wish list(s).

JK, yay on Lucky coming inside and hanging out for a bit.

  20. Definitely yay for Lucky!

2 1/2 more of work - arrrgh! I've tried to be good this week and not do too much, but I'm just not good at that. I finally have a weekend where I'm not dog-sitting, so I'm going to enjoy that. Still trying to get to the movies with GG to see the muppets and also may try to take everyone to meet PetsMart Santa this weekend.

Posted 5 months ago by GD #

  21. JK, you are an angel. I'm sure lucky will secure you a fluffier spot in kitty-heaven :)

Hi Deb & GD. Deb, how does the amazon wishlist work? Do they send you a notification when the item you are looking for becomes available?

GD, yay for a weekend off! Now do not go making plans to fill it up! Try the idea of just relaxing - bruno mars style :)

Posted 5 months ago by Skyron #

  22. LOL, Sky! Well. I do want to go to the movies. And see PetsMart Santa. And decorate my place. And get a Christmas tree. And make Danish Christmas food. And, and, and.....

Posted 5 months ago by GD #

  23. No no no!! Go listen to that song, listen to the words till you can feel them in your bones! I have one lazy day every weekend, and I'm a much happier, calmer, relaxed person because of it.

Posted 5 months ago by Skyron #

  24. But I only really have one day off, and I have stuff to do :(
Maybe I should hire a helper! Speaking of which, I cannot belive, in the community where I walk the dogs, how many people have hired companies to come hang up their Christmas light. Isn't part of the fun doing it yourself?

Posted 5 months ago by GD #

  25. Ok - compromise then. Try to sleep in at least an hour longer than what you normally would if you were planning on sleeping in. Treat yourself to a long, leisurely breakfast - toast, eggs, bacon, whatever you prefer :)

Unfortunately there are people, like my step-dad, who just really really shouldnt be allowed near electronics. He once almost fried their house trying to re-wire a plug . . . Thank God for surge breakers . . . We dont do Christmas lights here in SA. The pictues from other countries are always so pretty to look at. I'm not sure if I would be up to doing it myself though . . .

  26. Sky, the Amazon wish list is what the person would like to have if someone buys them something (for example my Dau put what she would like for my granddaughter on there, that way it saves everyone asking what do you want for her). So I bought her and the family a two year museum pass for Wonder Works which also gives them access to about 160 museums around the country :)

  27. Wow Deb, that sounds amazing! Wish we had museums :(

Ellen Degeneres has a contest for her 12 days of Christmas prizes....one can enter daily I do believe...

  29. Sky, I have always loved museums and parks, so I was very happy that they wanted that this year. Plus got her the baby animal magazine from National Wildlife Society, she loves animals (wonder where she got that from) :) Plus the Chicago area has wonderful museums :)

Posted 5 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  30. LOL. I believe love of animals is instilled along with learning to be kind and considerate. Sounds like your daughter is doing a good job :) How old is you granddaughter?
