There was a sign scratched on a piece of bark at the door. "Closed temporarily. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but it's worth it, we promise!"
The kitties have given the cafe a makeover - the walls have a fresh coat of paint, they had new flooring installed, and found new couches, lounge pillows and throws and cat toys (to go with the baskets of kittens and cats looking to play!) and new linens in white, black, and TDK pink! The place looks fabulous!
The buffet, cooking and fountain areas are rearranged, so extra kittehs are here to show you around - you can take the grand tour if you want! The sparkling floor-to-ceiling windows by the fireplace feature a majestic view of a lake and snow-capped mountains to the north, rolling meadows to the east and to the west, and a pristine beach and ocean to the south, where you can go out and lounge on the patio. That's where the pina coladas are!
Come on in to the grand re-opening! There is a brand-new sound system that will play whatever kind of music you are in the mood for!

The kitties did a great job. I'm too depressed to eat but would love a nice mug of hot chamomile tea.
Where is WWM and MC, lately? Lots of people MIA.
Hope you ladies have a nice night, i'm going back to bed with my tears. Everyone here says it gets better, well, i'll believe that if it happens.

They seem to be doing pretty good. I do need to get pictures to share! Coco has been seizure free since Wednesday, she upped his medicine by 1/2 a day. He's a stinker though, and hides the pill in his mouth and then later dumps it. I've got his number now!
Three are very social but one, Mickey, is shy and a loner (kinda like me) so try to give him extra attention.

Hi GD & JBBM. Got the Thanksgiving/fall stuff in a box and took the Christmas stuff out of the attic. Comet is having fun climbing on the boxes! Candles in windows and a wreath on the door; that's about the extent of outdoor decorating, but it looks nice.
The farthest I went today was a few miles down the mountain to the garden center. Got some bulbs for the candles, found a gift, and picked up some fresh cider.
Now, after watching the Giants lose a nailbiter to the Packers, I'm transitioning into the workweek.
{{{JBBM}}} I'm glad the kitties are doing ok; thinking good thoughts for you.
I'll join you for a shot of Bailey's GD.Posted 5 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

The party was a success!! I have cried so many happy tears today!! We made dreams come true for all the children--they were all so very happy! The little one my daughter bought for has never had Christmas presents before--she bought him a hat and gloves--he wouldn't take them off! He has never had a coat or boots either--she got him both and he hugged her because he said now he will be warm! My angel was thrilled with her stuff as well. She took her doll skating with her! The one we got the bike for found me in the back of the room and said it may not be cool, but he needed to hug me. It was just a magical night. To see my daughter and her boyfriend with the new born baby cooing at her was an eye opener. When I saw them my first thought was--I'm looking at a potential son-in-law. In the end it was all magical--the kids, the laughter, the food, and we always rent the skating rink and the blacklight golf! The hugs, the smiles, and the tears at parting--I love all of these kids. More than anything I wish I could adopt them all--and in a way I guess I have, but I hope they know even though they have a difficult life with no parents, they have so many that love them and want the very best for them.
Yesterday my Student Council provided gifts for 30 children on the angel tree--I am surrounded in the Christmas Spirit of Love and Peace!! I am so very blessed to work with these kids!

Cheers, Joan!
I went to both Target and Walmart today and both were out of Christmas tree stands!
The boys were busy, too! First, old boss came over to pay me for pet-sitting. Bobby was happy, and Mi hid in a box in the closet :)
Later on I had an adventure with Auntie Ellen who had a chair in her storage unit that she wanted to give me. It wouldn't fit in my car, so we borrowed the storage unit's truck and brought it over that way. That truck was BIG! But we got to my place without trouble Nd Bobby got to see his Auntie Ellen (mi went back in the box) and I got a new chair!
For dinner I made a Danish Christmas dish - rice porridge - and brought it to GG's. Not sure if he liked it much (i did), but he did eat it all :) -
sounds wonderful SM (or should I say Grandma in training?)

GD, did it have the blanched almonds in it? My niece has made a similar Norwegian dish and the almonds made a nice crunch.

Thank you GD and PJ.
PJ she graduates from college next year and just applied for graduate school. She is starting that program immediately after graduation. She is really concentrating on school--and he is very supportive. I think grandchildren will have to wait a bit. She has always said that she didn't want children. Tonight she was looking at children in a different light. Time will tell!

Peeks in and loves the new look of the lounge area, heading out to the porch area and going to sip on a pina colada with kittehs to keep me company.
Not many pics that I found I liked today but here's a couple...

SM, that is so nice of you, your daughter and the kids in your classes to provide the less fortunate kids with a bit of Christmas spirit.
GD, nice that you got a new chair and got some relaxation time in too.
Don't know how I am feeling right now, this cold or whatever it is has been hanging on for over two weeks now. I start to feel better and then a couple of hours later my voice is almost gone again and I feel like crud again. Have a check-up appt with the doc this coming Friday so will ask her about this mess.

went to look at Deb's lovemeow link and found this one too:
http://lovemeow.com/2011/11/kitty-clings-to-human-moms-back/
Molly doesn't cling to my back while walking or working but when I'm in the recliner, her latest thing is to get up on top and wedge herself in between me and the head rest whereupon she works away and manages to get my pony tail holder off. Then she throws it on the floor, pulls my hair down, and takes a nap behind my neck. The only thing I can think of is my pony tail must stick in her face.
Oh this one is so sweet too! Thanks Deb for finding this site!
http://lovemeow.com/2011/11/two-inseparable-cuddle-buddies/Sorry to hear Deb that you aren't feeling well. Hope things get better soon. Hate the crud!*&&%^%

Ohhh, Milo, come on out of the closet!
Yikes, PJ, I hope Millie never gets that big because it is painful enough now when she climbs up onto my shoulder and clings there or decides to climb down my back, using her claws like ice picks. Even though it's summer, if I know I'm going to have to pick up Mills (who will then shimmy up my shoulder), I have to put on a huge great sweatshirt so she doesn't leave too many lacerations...
SM, you and your daughter did a wonderful, wonderful thing. You truly rock.
Evening, Deb, sorry the crud is still with you but sounds like it's gradually packing its bags, I think the doc is a good idea though, it's already well outstayed its welcome! Orcas visited Wellington harbour today apparently...

Morning PJ, lucky you with having a shoulder kitty :)
Jane, awww would love to watch the Orcas :) Will have to try and watch the Orca video @ home, it won't play here sadly.
Wish I had a shoulder kitty, the closest I have gotten is Ms. B when she would sleep on my below above my head and put her paw on my head :)

Evening all, I had a cling on today and I have the holes in my neck to prove it. HRH was just scared of a chair that I was going to put her on.
Airy and I spent the morning picking up fresh oil from the beach and seeing hundreds of dead small jellyfish.
SM, you and your daughter have made some children believe in magic again, you're angels.
Deb, sometimes you just have to let the crud take it's course but other times it's best to get the crud seen to.Posted 5 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Lol, sounds like a plan to me....could see them now saying to each other, I don't know what they complain about, we are just trying to get their attention :)
