    Hello everyone! I am cooking chicken pieces in the oven and the cats are meowing as they cannot wait! :)Also, yams which they also love!
    I have a very sore arm and shoulder and couldn't figure out why or what I did different.... Then I remembered! I RAKED leaves yesterday, the whole yard at once. Didn't even think of over doing it at the time... but I did.. :( It hurts SO bad too... :/
    GD, how exciting you got your stove! I would love to have one, but wonder how expensive it is to run? I have a few ceramic heaters I use and they don't cost much to run. I had a nice surprise this month. My electric company estimated my bill for about 4 months and I got the "real" reading for Dec. It is just over $6. What a nice gift. That extra money will go towards kerosene for heat.

    Oh that's great, BB! I have no idea what this will cost to run. I would probably only use it for heat maybe 2 weeks out of the year, and other than that, just the nice flames and only for a bit in the evening before bed on the nights I'm home, so shouldn't be too bad.

    Speaking of bad, I feel bad. XBF came over today to drop something off. He had wanted to stop by yesterday, but I didn't have any time and he said he got busy, too. Anyway, he was helping me hook up a tv and mentioned that yesterday was his birthday! I had no idea! He said he took himself out for dinner and felt pathetic :(
    So I will cook him dinner one night to make up for him being alone on his birthday. He also admired my Christmas tree and said he didn't have one, so I'll probably get him a small tabletop tree so he at least has that. He's going to his parents' on the 23rd, so at least he has somewhere to go for Christmas.

    Mi heard hammering and cursing and later on XBF, so he hid in "his" box in the walk-in closet most of the day :)

    Evening all!..... GD, that is so nice of you to do those things for XBF...... I'm sure that made him feel really good!.......

    ...... I will tell you, my fudge turned out GREAT!....... while very different, the dark chocolate/walnut and the white/peppermint were both delicious!.......... the whole office loved it, and it was actually fairly easy, and with all your guys' helpful hints, it didn't stick to the pan, and turned out just right!!!! thanks everyone for the input!.................

    ...... one more day for me - tomorrow, is my last day of work and then I'm off until the 27th.................... (yay!)............. kids are coming home Friday, so I look forward to a nice and family filled week next week!......... hope everyone is having a nice evening and looking forward to the holidays..........

    Right? I got it at Faith Farm, which is kind of like Goodwill. They had two of them and I was tempted to take both. I love that kind of furniture.
