i only had time to make coffee, set up the espresso iv drips, and put down cots with blankets. the kittens in their baskets are just waking up and purring...
have a good day everyone !!!
Morning, Cheri! Coffee sounds good - I picked up a mocha from Starbucks on my way to work a couple of hours ago, but it doesn't seem to be waking me up at all!
I've promised myself to take it easy today - or as easy as I can take it. I have a very, very busy weekend coming up with three dog-sitting jobs. one being in a town 30 minutes away (didn't know that was where the client lived when I agreed to the job!). So today, in-between work and dog-walking, I'm going to stay home and relax and maybe make some of my nut mix.
Morning ladies :)
Have to share this off of FB, I can remember doing things like this....
"My friend Helen sent me this in an e-mail I had to share it!! It's the true meaning to Christmas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
JSYK, my friend Dorie is Santa Claus, shhhh. don't tell. "
> This is my idea of Santa!!
>
> I remember tearing across town on my bike to visit her on the
> day my big
> sister dropped the bomb: "There is no Santa Claus," she
> jeered. "Even
> dummies know that!"
> My Grandma was not the gushy kind, never had been. I fled
> to her that day
> because I knew she would be straight with me. I knew
> Grandma always told
> the truth, and I knew that the truth always went down a whole
> lot easier
> when swallowed with one of her "world-famous" cinnamon
> buns. I knew they
> were world-famous, because Grandma said so. It had to be true.
Grandma was home, and the buns were still warm. Between
> bites, I told her
> everything. She was ready for me. "No Santa Claus?" she
> snorted...."Ridiculous! Don't believe it. That rumor
> has been going
> around for years, and it makes me mad, plain mad!!
> Now, put on your coat,
> and let's go."
> "Go? Go where, Grandma?" I asked. I hadn't even finished
> my second
> world-famous cinnamon bun. "Where" turned out to be
> Kerby's General Store,
> the one store in town that had a little bit of just about
> everything. As we
> walked through its doors, Grandma handed me ten
> dollars. That was a
> bundle in those days. "Take this money," she said, "and buy
> something for
> someone
> who needs it. I'll wait for you in the car."
> Then she turned and walked
> out of Kerby's.
> I was only eight years old. I'd often gone shopping with
> my mother, but
> never had I shopped for anything all by myself. The store
> seemed big and
> crowded, full of people scrambling to finish their Christmas shopping.
> For a few moments I just stood there, confused, clutching that
> ten-dollar
> bill, wondering what to buy, and who on earth to buy it for.
> I thought of everybody I knew: my family, my friends, my
> neighbors, the
> kids at school, the people who went to my church.
> I was just about thought out, when I suddenly thought of Bobby
> Decker. He
> was a kid with bad breath and messy hair, and he sat right
> behind me in Mrs.
> Pollock's grade-two class. Bobby Decker didn't have a
> coat. I knew that
> because he never went out to recess during the winter. His
> mother always
> wrote a note, telling the teacher that he had a cough, but all
> we kids knew
> that Bobby Decker didn't have a cough; he didn't have a good
> coat. I
> fingered the ten-dollar bill with growing excitement. I
> would buy Bobby
> Decker a coat! I settled on a red corduroy one that had a
> hood to it. It
> looked real warm, and he would like that.
> "Is this a Christmas present for someone?" the lady behind the counter
> asked kindly, as I laid my ten dollars down. "Yes, ma'am," I
> replied shyly.
> "It's for Bobby."
> The nice lady smiled at me, as I told her about how Bobby really
> needed a
> good winter coat. I didn't get any change, but she put the
> coat in a bag,
> smiled again, and wished me a Merry Christmas.
> That evening, Grandma helped me wrap the coat (a little tag fell
> out of the
> coat, and Grandma tucked it in her Bible) in Christmas paper and
> ribbons and
> wrote, "To Bobby, From Santa Claus" on it. Grandma
> said that Santa always
> insisted on secrecy. Then she drove me over to Bobby
> Decker's house,
> explaining as we went that I was now and forever officially, one
> of Santa's
> helpers.
> Grandma parked down the street from Bobby's house, and she and I crept
> noiselessly and hid in the bushes by his front walk. Then
> Grandma gave me a
> nudge. "All right, Santa Claus," she whispered, "get going."
I took a deep breath, dashed for his front door, threw the
> present down on
> his step, pounded his door and flew back to the safety of the
> bushes and
> Grandma.
Together we waited breathlessly in the darkness for the front
> door to open.
> Finally it did, and there stood Bobby.
Fifty years haven't dimmed the thrill of those moments spent
> shivering, beside my Grandma, in Bobby Decker's bushes.
> That night, I realized that
> those awful rumors about Santa Claus were just what Grandma said
> they were
> -- ridiculous. Santa was alive and well, and we were
> on his team.
I still have the Bible, with the coat tag tucked inside: $19.95.
> May you always have LOVE to share,
HEALTH to spare and FRIENDS that care...
And may you always believe in the magic of Santa Claus!

Good morning! Lovely story, Deb. I am so glad you shared. I am so busy with last-minute work at the job and at home. Tonight is our company Christmas party. We're going to a country club for appetizers, drinks, and a full sit-down meal. Tomorrow after work I need to get some wrapping done. Just not enough time for all that I want to do, but I'll get the important things done first.

.... Morning everyone!........... love the story, Deb!.......... I slept in nicely today, it's the start of my 2 weeks off!!!............ nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING on the agenda today, I plan to take it easy and see what the day unfolds............. not many times I get to do that! LOL
............... eventually, the house will have to be cleaned, the grocery store and malls will have to be shopped, and Mr. AV's projects will have to be helped with.............. but not today............ :)
Sky, I'm not sure it's possible! (to shut a meezer up, that is)............. this may sound silly, but the best way I know is to feed her (LOL).......Abby never cries with her mouth full ;)
.......... LOL at Sio.............. I can just hear them .......... "Meowmy's head smells funny - here, come take a whif - what do you think?"...........
Morning ladies :) I liked that story too so had to share with all of you.
Sky, good luck with that, Meezers don't have to have *anything to say* they just need to talk, talk, talk!
Today I am going to a memorial for Border Patrol Agent Terry who died one year ago today needlessly while working.

For everyone out there with small children in their lives...share this reindeer cam with them! It's a live feed of Santa's reindeer. Santa comes out a few times a day to feed them. How cute!

AV, Max, Haje and Ms. B were all meezers or at least part (Max was a full meezer) and they all talked.

Lol guess we all have moments where we want to YELL at someone, you are just it right now :)
Posted 5 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #
AV, oh you got that right. Haje is a tattle tale for sure, he meets me at the door and tells me everything...in fact he will make sure I know who did something by running towards them and meowing and then back to me while still talking.

LOL @ Haje the 'informant'..............
............one of my favorite times in the morning is 'eavesdropping' on Mr. AV and Abby when he gets up early to feed her.............. they have a whole discussion on the way down the stairs to the kitchen........... it's hilarious!
Problem solved: she didnt want her usual royal canin kibble, she wanted some duck. Any other cat in our house would be happy with whatever wet food comes their way, but Sky?? Duck, and only duck, will do . . .
Deb, how does Haje explain what the offending kitty did? Or is it enough that he just points them out to you?
Good Morning. Thanks for opening the cafe CSBM. Kittehs are awake and ready to play now!
Comet isn't a meezer, but he sure likes to sing. He was annoying Leela on the bed 20 minutes before the alarm went off so I broke that up, and he left and proceeded to sing - "AHHWOOO!"

Sky, he doesn't give a flip about what the offender did....he just wants to make sure he isn't blamed! He is the little kid who points his finger at the kid next to him, yep he did it, not me :)

Joan, lol that is funny, I would surely like Comet :)
