  1. Morning, GD. He's doing better. Seizures are under control and as for his ligament injury he seems to be walking better. Doc said to keep him on the medicine for a minimum of 5 days so that he isn't too rambunctious and rests it. He's sleeping on my bed right now (letting him in here when I can supervise!)

  2. Thanks, JBBM. We did the same trip last year, so we know what to expect. I am really ready for a break.

  4. Happy Birthday to Bobby!! Most traveled kitty around. Happy belated birthday to Socks Mom. So sorry that I missed it! Hope everyone is having a great "almost" Christmas!

  5. Well Bobby has a great birthday--filled with tuna!

  6. Yep, and nip, too! And best of all, I made every effort to actually be home to spend time with him! I've been so busy, I feel bad for the boys. At least they have eachother, as well as more space now to play in.
Speaking of not being home, I'm at a co-worker's tonight, dog-sitting, and the boys are home alone. They'd love if their TDK aunties and uncles would stop by again tonight and keep them company, or just say hello.

  7. I just have to share this - I woke up this morning cause someone was kicking me in the back. Turns out Tigger wanted go stretch himself out in bed, and I was in the way, so the boy decides to bunny-kick me to make me move . . .

  8. Lol, Sky I understand that, Kitty will do that when he wants *room* while lying the crook of my knee :)

ok my tip that I found for the day.....

    TODAY'S PET TIP

Using Butter to Give Medications to Your Cat

Cats can be difficult to pill. For some cats, adding a little butter to the medication can make it easier to slide down their throats and hide some of the bitter tastes that medications can have.

To start - try making the pill giving experience "fun". Try offering it as a big treat to start. I have one cat on a daily medication that will eat the pill when coated with butter.

You can always resort to opening their mouth and forcing them to take it but many times you can start by making it "fun" and some cats will actually eat it.

  9. Just got to work and have 3 hrs to go, yay! Went to a Christmas party this evening at one of my dear friend's house, she had 11 theme trees up and it was beautiful. Its been the first year in about 5 yrs that she has had her open house because she has been very sick with a lot of medical issues. The look on her face was worth it, she loves absolutely loves this time of year >^..^<

  10. Hi, Deb, so glad to hear the Christmas party went well, I bet your friend's house looked absolutely gorgeous. Did you take any pix? I hope 2012 is much better for your friend on the medical front. I am just here for a minute before bed.

Miss Millie is asleep draped over my typing arm and Libs is asleep on her chair in the living room. Last night, for the first time EVER, Libby jumped on my bed in the middle of the night and slept on it, despite the fact that Millie was curled up with me under the covers. I don't know whether Libs knew that Mills was there or not but I am rapt. I have always, always wanted my girls to both feel able to sleep on the bed together. Libs never even slept on my bed if Jasper was there!

Millie is fascinated by the hedgehog who comes onto the verandah at dusk to finish off the rest of Libs's breakfast, she sits by the open door and waits for it to turn up, lol, and loves to watch it eat. Poor love, she doesn't get much excitement in her little life!

  11. Evening Jane, no I forgot my camera and was helping her roll meats and fixing trays when I first got there. I am hoping to get her to take pictures so I can send them to Sarah (my dau) because she loves Neal's open house so very much. Yay for Libs, wow she slept on the bed with you even with Millie there >^..^< Hey sometimes you have to take what little excitement you get, so I totally get Millie :) I have the occasional sighting of the grey cat that visits my backyard, when I saw him/her the other day Kitty was talking away to it thru the window. Picky kitty though, only likes Kitten Chow but then again the crew has decided that is their favorite of the month too. That and the Before Grain food that I bought recently, I think its the size (small square nuggets) and hopefully the taste that gets them there.

  12. Just found out that one of my friends/co-worker's kitty Lexie was helped to the Meadow today. Lexie was a young kit of only 2.5 yrs but had a hard life, I hope that she is at peace now.

  13. Awwwww, Kitty has found a friend, lol. Hope you can get pix, that would be something lovely to see. I was driving through the little village down the road from my village in the dark the other day, happened to go along a residential street to avoid having to do a U-turn in the main street and there was the most AMAZING house, all lit up for Christmas, truly blazing with lights all over, it was magnificent and I think probably it was the only one in our area that has truly got all dressed up for Christmas!

    Well, I am afraid I am nodding off here so will say goodnight, Deb, but at least you only have a short time at *that place* tonight. I expect MS is still exhausted from her mammoth cooking efforts for her mum's birthday. Sleep well and sweet dreams when you get home. I'm so glad you had a lovely time at Neal's and that she did too. Catch you tomorrow. {{{HUGS}}}

  14. I'm sorry to hear about Lexie, that's terribly young for a kitty. I hope Lexie is at peace in the meadow now too.

  15. I am thinking the same about MS being exhausted from all the events this past week.

Sleep well my friend and have sweet dreams, crossing my fingers that you may have a repeat of the two girls sleeping on the bed with you. I love the bling on the houses too, see you tomorrow Jane :)

  16. Me too, Deb, there is plenty of room for both of them, they have not perfected the Tigger bunny kick yet though Millie is proving rather good at stretching out horizontally under the covers, lol. Nihgty-night :)

  17. G'night!

Just saw the coolest Cuisanart Coffee/Tea maker on a Bed, Bath & Beyond commercial. I don't drink coffee but if there was a house or workplace that did, that would be ideal since it makes both (actually the Tea side makes hot water so it would be good for hot chocolate too). Of course, I can't get on their site from here for who knows why.....so can't find the price of it.
