  8. So CUTE!!!!

Just wondering, did/does the vet's office fix the ferals that live right outside the office? It seems that would be a good community service project for them. Granted they would have to pay for the supplies, medicine, etc, but I can't imagine that they would just let a feral cat colony reproduce outside a vet's office.

  9. Good question, Ladysky. They do...there are just some of them they can't catch. I don't know what level of expertise they have at catching them, maybe a seasoned expert could. (Or maybe they are seasoned experts.) They do TNR and try to capture kittens at a good age to be socialized and adopted. They run a small cat rescue there out of their own pocket, spaying and neutering and caring for the cats. They caught my Emily (along with a friend of hers) during a 3 day downpour because she didn't have much fight left in her as a drowned rat kitty. She had been hard to catch before the rain. I think she was about 7-8 weeks old. They called her "Stormy." When I think about her mom being one of the "hard to catch" ferals it helps me understand her shy, hesitant personality. She is a great cat but will always have a little scaredy cat in her, I think.
