  1. Good morning, everyone. It's been a while since I opened up the café and not transferred it to the roller rink; I felt that Piglet could learn a lot from the cooks and chefs who have more experience (by virtue of their having been there longer, of course). He will be the sous chef of the day, and he will help prep everything for the furbabies and their people. Breakfast is ready and waiting; there's eggs (all styles), bacon (all flavors), sausages (all flavors, including a vegetarian variety), ham (sorry, only maple-honey ham this morning), brown rice porridge, oatmeal (porridge), muesli, toast (white, whole wheat, and pumpernkckel), French toast made with challah bread, pancakes, latkes with honey, muffins (sorry, no bran muffins today), waffles, coffee, tea, milk (including soy and rice milk), and juices (sorry, no tomato juice today). Piglet set up a topping bar so the waitstaff can access pancake, waffle, and hot cereal toppings more readily. Enjoy.

  4. Good Morning Vicki! How are you! So good to see you! How have you been!? I am a little sluggish today, I have just eaten way too much rich, fattening foods the last few weeks. I have decided today to try to flush out my system with some hot lemon water. That's what my doc says will help, we will see! Hope everyone has a great day. I am going to get ready to go to work! See ya' later!

  7. I hope whoever had that ticket never finds out. Can you imagine?

Morning, all. MC, it's good to see you posting again.

  8. Morning Vicki, MC, Deb and Kilroy!
Me, me....it is me that holds that ticket....yeah, right...in my dreams! How I wish.....
These holidays sure mix me up, I don't know what day it is anymore :)
I found Ram's Cmas mousey under the stove again....guess he puts it there for safe keeping....even safe from him. Hope everyone has a nice Wednesday!

  9. Oh, forgot to mention....when I was in Walmart yesterday, I saw that woman with the therapy cat, that darling orangie.....I swear that guy is drugged, he is so mellow...he had on a yellow shirt and his basket is always decorated differently...the woman told me she bought him a tux for New Year's, as he goes out to celebrate :) She also said she breeds Himalayan's....swears they are the best breed of cats. I always enjoy seeing her and that precious orangie!

  10. Silly Rambo! :) Georgie's safe place for his mousies is in his food dish; I guess he thinks they're food. Silly George!

  11. Georgie is a sensible guy!!

Posted 5 months ago by katthays #

  12. Except that he only eats wet food, so Mr. Mousie *really* needs a bath :P

Posted 5 months ago by Kilroy #

  13. That's so funny, Kilroy. Emily loves to drag her toys through her wet food too. Must be a hunting/eating type behavior. The only problem is that Leo is given to eating cat toys anyways and when they smell like meaty cat food....well, you can see the problem.

  14. Euuu, bet Mr. Mousie can get pretty smelly, lol.
    Hi ECB!

  15. Hi, KH. The orangie therapy cat reminds me of Glen Jr. I find it so interesting when cats are okay with being out and about like that. I can't imagine mine being okay with it.

  16. My boys wouldn't sit in a basket for anything! Especially Rambo, lol.

  17. Morning all...he he toys in food, my sis's cat Emily Z used to do that too! Crockey just pushes them in his secret hidey hole 'til I clean and find his stash! Lucky update: Little woolie beastkit comes in every morning for his noms & to warm up & every evening for a vist plus noms. Doesn't care to use his litter box yet thus gets antsy so goes back out to his terra firma! (Still not bad out yet but am hopeful he will hibernate a bit longer when it does turn into wintertime again!) Anyway, I need a big mug o'joe and some wwheat toast w/honey butter, thanks Vicki for the spread! Paw up as see you in a bit, now a smooch for Tux...later!

  18. Hi all. JK, try putting good old dirt in the litter box in stead of clay or whatever you use. Auntie Ellen and I did that when we rescued Abby kitty and it worked great. She had refused to use the box with litter in it.

The therapy kitty sounds adorable, KH! I love that we can take Glen Jr out. It's fun and it makes things like vet visits much easier. Speaking of Glen - he caused yet another ornament fatality at his house last night :)

  19. Hi GD, thanks for the litter tip! Yup, he was watching/sniffing Crockey after he did his duty this morning so he does know the procedure!
Anyway it is almost lunchin' time in brewtown so that means another cuppa joe and out to the patio for some virtual rays and down time...to the lounge chair Tux!!!

    Hi GD and Kilroy!

  24. Hi Linda! Did I thank you for the Christmas card? (probably not, my head's even more of a sieve than usual lately). Thank you so much.

Posted 5 months ago by Kilroy #

  25. Silly! You don't have to thank for cards, but you're welcome :) How was the trip? Did the Georgemeister behave while you were gone?

Posted 5 months ago by linda #

  26. The trip was wonderful and relaxing, and George survived just fine (I was a little worried because when we went away last Dec. was when he got sick the first time). It was REALLY hard to come home.

Posted 5 months ago by Kilroy #

  27. Kilroy, so glad you had a nice trip!...... and Georgie fared well in your absense :)

......... I'm back at work this week, but really is a ghost town in the office......... *waves* to anyone still in the Cafe...............

Posted 5 months ago by linda #
