  4. Vicki, what is winter fruit salad? (always looking for yummies)

I've got to share a recipe with you all. It was so super yummy. We had Swedish Apple Pie for Christmas dinner. (my brother got the recipe from an old church cookbook) Not only did it taste good, it was so easy to make!

Apples, enough to fill pie plate about 3/4 full (it took 3 good sized apples)
    extra butter for greasing
    1 T. sugar
    1 tsp cinammon

    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup melted butter
    1 egg
    1 cup flour
    1/4 tsp salt

Butter the pie plate. Fill plate with the pared sliced apples. Sprinkle the T. of sugar and the cinammon over the apples. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over the apples. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 45 minutes. Super served warm with Ice Cream.

  5. Popping in to say hi.

    Hi!

I'm in a mood. Have been for a while. But ultra cranky today. Have a sinus infection and headache to match but want to try to kick this naturally and not with antibiotics. Any ideas on that?

  6. Do you have a heating pad Lainey? I always folded it up and held it down on my face for a while, as hot as I could stand it. Really helped a lot. Or a really hot wrung out small towel.

  7. OOh, yes, I do PJ! I took some tylenol around 3:30 and that has helped a wee bit. I've got some stuff I have to do around the house and then I am going to crawl into bed and give that a try. Thanks! :)

  8. Afternoon, everyone.

Lainey, I would try the heating pad or a warm wash cloth heated in the m/w but not burning hot....PJ is right, it has helped me when I have them.

  11. Hello! Meant to stop in hours ago, better late than never! The Swedish Apple Pie sounds delish - might have to try that. I just happen to have a bunch of apples! Oh and winter salad sounds like a perfect side to a soup dinner night! Thanks for sharing!
