My 3 month old siamese started acting weird the other day - throwing up liquidy food, stomach gurgling, acting uncomfortable etc. being the worry wart I am I immediately took him to the vet because he wasn't pooping either and I could tell he was straining in his litter box. The vet took his temp and examined him and said all looked well and that she could feel hard stool in his tummy but no foreign objects or anything. $120 later she gave him a shot of antibiotics and sent me home with pills and some sensitive stomach food.
Fast forward to today and he still has a huge appetite and has kept his food down. The last time he puked was yesterday at 9am. He acts normal, plays with his sister (another siamese, same age from the same litter), jumps around, etc etc. I find he is acting MAYBE a little tired, but perhaps I am just being paranoid!
He pooped last night, so I was very happy! It wasn't a HUGE poop, but he still pooped! and it looked relatively normal. So far today, no pooping. He went in a tried once, but just ended up peeing. Could he still be constipated? :(
Another thing is this: right before he is about to throw up, his tummy gurgles, and sort of puffs up like he is gassy. Then after he throws up he seems to feel much better and resumes playing! He has not thrown up today, but once when I picked him up his stomach did that thing. He is also licking his lips a lot as if he is nauseous, but again, no throw up today, and lots of eating and drinking!
So basically I'm wondering, is this something to be worried about? After 3 days he still has the nauseous symptoms, the gurgling tummy, and the (maybe) constipation. I'm worried about my little man! :(
