The cafe has a strong floral scent today; kittehs have put flowers everywhere! They are celebrating the Rose Bowl Parade, which they will have on the big screen tv's. They have spent lots of time getting everyone's favorite noms and comfort foods. Hot and cold fountains are flowing. Stop in and say hi - stay if you can, or grab what you need and have a wonderful day!

Morning Joan!...................... great theme for the Cafe today!............. I'm sure there'll be lots of 'bowl watching' in my house later on......... we're headed to a field trip to the museum today, there's a special Egyptian exhibit that we're going to see, then home to take down the tree................... it's expected to be almost freezing here tonight!.... hard to believe since Christmas day was almost 80!............. hope you have a wonderful day, scritches to Leela and Comet!

Morning ladies, very windy, blustery Winnie-the-Pooh type of day here. But at home now, fed the crew and the outside feathery friends, now going to watch the Rose Bowl Parade and then try and sleep a bit.

Hi all, I'm stuck at that place doing more c**p. Figured out that my outgo outdid my income by about $3,000 last year (thanks, vet bill). A good chunk of it was savings/investments, but yowie.
Saved one of the wackier moments of 2011 for the last day; went to get my hair cut and found out that my hairdresser has moved into the building where Mr. K & I live, 2 floors down. Now I really won't get away with letting my hair get too long :)

Happy New Year to all! I'm off work today, so I'm enjoying another day at home with the kitties.
My son got me a wireless printer for my laptop, so I'll be tryinjg to hook that up today. I got it as far as out of the box right now. Then I decided that I'd better catch up on a few things before I get involved.
Chance is desparately trying to get my attention right now. He thinks I'm home just for him.

I took a little time to play with Chance. He kept looking at Smudge who was sleeping on a chair, thinking she would come play, too. When I told him that was enough, I went back to reading TDK. I just looked at him and he's asleep in a patch of sun. Ahh, what a life! Better get lunch ready while all's quiet.

Our tree has only been up 2 weeks, and with New Year's Day falling on a Sunday, it won't come down till next weekend. I've thoroughly enjoyed the pretty lights.
Anyone mind if I come in the cafe/night shift and babble incoherently? Part of keeping my resolution (see resolutions thread) might be to vent.
