  2. Good evening AV and my dear friend the Night Shift.
It's yet another wet day here(along with my washing). We have had quite a run of wet but hot and muggy days lately and it's going to continue this way well into January thanks to a sub tropical low, rain bands and clouds head our way for the next fortnight. Yuk! We're stuck inside with the fans on and windows open if the rain isn't coming in them. Shadz has 'cabin fever' and tries to stay out 24/7 now even if it is raining cats & dogs ad there is a tom cat yowling around the house day & night. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, the joys of summer holiday time.
I'll take a strawberry margarita please AV.

  3. Oh man I'd love some summer time atm, it's going to be a balmy 19 degrees here tonight. Went out and made sure the dogs houses were stuffed full of hay, though Kai won't mind, he loves the cold being a Husky. Least it will be short lived. Supposed to be back in the 50s to 60s by the end of the week.

  4. MS heads to her handy online conversion table - hmmmm lets see - 19F is YIKES! ! -7.2C. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr Kit, wrap up warmly, cuddle the cat and make some hot cocoa with a tad of something stronger in it. I think we almost made it that low here during winter. Real ice on the puddles weather.
We've had a few hot sunny days so far this summer but nowhere near as many as we're supposed to have.

  5. I'm glad it's a milder winter than last overall this is the first really cold weather we've had so I can't complain. Better this week than next too since I'd have to go to work in this cold then. Last winter just about this time we got hit with a HUGE nasty ice storm that left us locked in for a week. It was so cold all winter, my heating bill was twice what it normally was. But a cold snap is good, means less bugs in the summer!

  6. ................ welcome MS and Kit!..... LOL @ Shadz 'wanting' to be out when she shouldn't, and 'not caring' to be out when she 'can'!........... oh the life (and mind) of cats!

.......... it's wind chill of 23F tonight, with actual temps about 36 ............. very cold for Florida!............... still hard to wrap my head around your being in summer, MS!

......... Mr. AV and I are heading out to bed now, see everyone in the early am!

  7. That is very cold for Florida, sorry I guess our cousin's down there took it with them when they left. They drove home today. Sleep well AV :)

  8. Nighty night AV, sweet dreams.

  9. Hi AV, MS & Kit - nice to see the Night Shift! It's a lovely 12 degrees here, and the wind is howling. Nice and cozy here by the fire though.
Watching the Sugar Bowl - the Virginia Tech Hokies are losing, bummer.
There's a meteor shower tonight, but it's too cold even for a die hard like me.
Anywho, just stopping in to say hi - headed off to bed - nighty-night all!

  10. Nighty night Joan, sweet dreams for you too.
I'm headed out to have dinner with the KK's. The same for you Kit.
    Back on the NS later.

  11. Evening all. Before the rain set in MrKK, miniKK and I got a couple of hours on the beach. MiniKK photographed MrKK boogie boarding while I tried to keep sand out of everything. Now it's raining again. MrKK and I are off home tomorrow and we're leaving miniKK to torment MS for 10 days. Well time to order the fish and chips for dinner - MS and Airy will be over soon.

  12. Looking in the Night Shift before heading out for *that place*...meteor showers are set for tonight, of course won't be able to see them as I have to be inside on the radio with no windows in the room at all, sigh. Will be back ater the witching hour, blessed be.

  13. Back home watching Falling Skies and relaxing.
Deb, I hope w**k is easy this evening.

    Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  14. Snap, I'm watching it too, MS. Not sure how much I like it yet. It's a commercial break right now...

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  15. Evening Jcat, I'm still working out how much I like it. So far it has a passing grade.
How has your day been? Wet or dry. We've had yet more rain, my washing got an impromptu second rinsing as did KK's.

  16. The last 30 minutes or so, it just went up in my estimation, MS. It has been the most gorgeous blue-sky day here, very hot, with just a cool breeze. I spent some time moving my store of bricks around the garden, I want to plant a tree where they are at the moment.

I have twice had to shoo Miss Millie's hedgehog out of the front door this evening, the tortie terror seems to have been inviting it in to eat out of her dish. How can she be so mean to her big sister and so nice to the hedgehog, lol? Do you think the spines have anything to do with it?

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  17. LOL, do you think Miss Millie has some issues around what she thinks she might be, is it cat or hedgehog. Poor Libs, but I bet she finds Millie to be prickly at times.
Ohhhhh errrrrrrrr, you had sunshine! ! Dang.
What type of tree are you going to plant Jcat?

  18. Training courses ! !. Oh isn't Good Boy gorgeous, I love the last picture of him.
The 'Where are you going to sleep' one is what happens with Airy when Shadz sleeps in her bed.

  19. I love the pic of Good Boy and his mitts are gorgeous! And the sleep one is my bed when I move, Red and/or Lil Girl will jump into my spot quickly.

The training courses, I got an email saying I had neglected to take a course (wasn't required since I am not an Agent but oh well) so I have taken 29 of them in the last three days just for the h**l of it, lol!

Its about two girls that were accidently switched @ birth, good family dynamics. Plus it has a few redheads in it :)

  20. For anyone taking the Coromega Omega-3 vitamins, the Walgreen's monthly coupon booklet has a $5 coupon on the 30 ct box.

    Love this site http://www.mentalfloss.com/

  21. Goodness me Deb, 29 courses in 3 days. Wow! I hope they were interesting.
That looks like it could be a very interesting series Deb.
Woohoo, got Shdz inside finally, wet but inside. She is settling down on the puter chair, her favourite place lately. Probably because it's quite cool unlike sharing the bed with us.

    Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  22. Lol at least she is inside, I know she needed her required brisk rub-down with a towel! Some of the course were interesting, some were downright boring. The series was way more interesting than I thought it would be, the interactions between the girls, mothers, deaf/hearing community just seems unending and more real to life than a tv show.

  23. Evening, ladies, sorry to disappear, I decided to go make some sweet and sour sauce for the freezer. Then I can just throw it on some grilled fish, rice and vegies and I have a quick meal any time I want it. I also have a wee hedgie -- oops, Millie on my knee. I think she must know that she is a kitty because she grew up with a kitty mum and kitty sisters and she does all the right kitty things, lol. Cavorting with hedgehogs is probably because she leads such a staid life.

  24. Yes, HRH was towelled off, before having supper. Now that she is all settled for the night I can head off to bed too. Up early to see the KK seniors off.
Nighty night Deb & Jcat. Sweet dreams, chin scritches to The Crew,Libs and Miss Millie & her hedgehog.

  25. G'night Jan, sleep well and have sweet dreams, scritches to HRH in the morning and safe travels to the KK seniors tomorrow.

  26. Evening ladies :)

Jcat, have you named the hedgehog yet? Sounds to me like you might as well give him/her a name . . .

  27. Sky, evening :)

Technology is just amazing at times....

  28. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Sky, I don't need any more pets! Besides, they have fleas and carry all sorts of other diseases (or so we were always told when we were kids -- hence MS telling her girls not to touch one or they'd explode)!

Nighty-night, MS, sleep well and sweet dreams! Scritches to HRH.

OMG, how did it get to be midnight already?

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  29. Jane, lol and I am sitting here hoping that time would just get a move on and go a bit faster (until at least 7 a.m. my time, 3 hrs from now).
