It also reminded me of Ginny's Feeny....and everyone here who was contemplating haircuts the other day. Hope the haircuts had a happier ending than this guy's.
Pickle update:
She's fine. The vet is pleased with they progress she is making. She has some eyedrops as well because she is developing conjunctivitis in her left eye. She has Metcam analgesic once a day and the eye drops twice a day.
She has to go back in 6 weeks to have the stitch removed. The vet put it in in such a way that Pickle shouldn't need to be anaesthetised to take it out. However this is Pickle we are talking about, so we'll have to see how she is on the day.
Thank you all for your concern and kind words/prayers for Pickle.

She's actually not too bad at all. Mind you she didn't want to go back into her basket at the vet's. I had to stuff her in quite forcibly.

Hey everyone. PM, I am glad Pickle is doing better. Are you keeping her inside while she heals? 2P best of luck with those eye drops, it is not an easy task.
Today would have been my Sister, Karen's, birthday so I went out to lunch and split a piece of cheesecake with a friend and we dedicated the first bite to Karen.
I am in grant-land at that place so I had better get on with it. I have a deadline of Jan 13! Have a good one every body!

Finally, made it back to the cafe when it's about time to leave work. For all of you have such cold weather, ours is going to be close to 60 tomorrow. It's January in the Midwest and this is usually when we get lots of snow.
To those with remembrances of friends' passing (animal or human), let the good memories be a comfort to you. My granddaughter called Sunday night to let me know that her guinea pig Gizmo died. She has another one which is quite confused and missing her friend, so my granddaughter has been giving Yukie lots of love and attention. My paternal grandmother and my mother passed away in January, on the same day, just a year apart.
Okay, enough rattling on...time to turn the computer off and head towards home.
