  1. The cafe is sparkling after some hard work and it really shows!
Wonderful aromas are wafting from the kitchen as kitteh chefs are preparing every nom you could ever wish for. Hot and cold fountains are flowing. A cozy fire burns and there are baskets of kittens and cats near the comfy couches and chairs. At the other side of the room is a gentle breeze with kittens and cats lounging on the patio and under ceiling fans. They're all ready for playtime and/or lounge/snuggle time with hoomans.
    Welcome!

  2. Wee...little Meezer skids across newly waxed floor as I open the door...cafe looks great kits & smells wonderful. Hi Joan thanks for opening up today! How's everything in 'Joisey today? Brewtown is sunny & to be in the 40's...yay! Me, I need a very large cuppa joe to start my pile of billybuds. Some cinny raisin toast to go with would be great, thanks Tux! Paw up waves to anyone who sneaks in...gotta go, later!

  3. Hi JK! It's not as arctic today. 30s today, 40s tomorrow, and maybe 50s Saturday? Woo-hoo! I'm super busy, but keeping my resolution in mind, I must take TDK breaks to keep things in check. Determined to keep a strong but not frantic pace and refusing to get negative. Frustration quickly pushed aside in favor of "what's the best way to handle this?". It's kind of tough, but I must try! If I'm successful, this might be the best resolution I've ever made! Oh, except the one made years ago: when I'm standing with the fridge door open wondering what to drink, close the door and drink water.

  4. Great resolution Joan, you go girl plus the fridge one too! Helping kit crew open the TDK fridge door to slide in whipped cream cake the kits just finished for it is Whipped Cream Day! Enjoy this easy & "healthy" recipe" as it states:

  5. Made a delish fruit dip for Christmas with whipped cream (the stuff in a tub) and raspberry yogurt. Think it was KYK's suggestion. Whodathunk that a fabulous dip would be so easy?! Anyway, I made more as it's a great way for me to eat more fruit.

  10. Good morning, everyone! First time here! I could certainly use a green tea latte to help me make it through this day. Lots of boring work to do. Missing my Silverbelle and Sanskrit at home!

  13. Evening everyone :) I'm in dire need of rum tonight. Do we have rum in the cafe?

  14. Hi there Kat, Deb & KKat (names get abbreviated around here!) -
Status on my window birdfeeder: no birds in several days :(
It was great at first because the squirrels couldn't get to it and it only attracted small to medium birds. We love watching the chickadees, finches, warblers and occasional woodpeckers. Comet lunged at the window one too many times I guess.

Posted 4 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  15. None of the usual winter birds on our feeder because the weather has been so wacky! We do have some lovely woodpeckers though - wish I could send them your way for the kits entertainment!

  16. Rum papa pum, being the 11th day of Xmas you are in luck Skyron...Rum it will be...wee, here ya be from little skittle of a kit!
My birds are hiding for there is a hawk hanging around! Now that Lucky is indoors alot more the hawk has been more present in the area!

  17. Yay! Thank you little skittle-kit.

  18. Hey Sky - missed your post and your need for rum! Enjoy!

I didn't consider the warm weather factor, KKat. The squirrels have only just started to gnaw at the fall pumpkins I put out on Christmas Day. Last year I had 1 big pumpkin and painted a cat face on it. For the fall it sported a NY Giants hat, Christmastime it wore a santa hat, and after that a cowboy hat. Squirrels didn't get to have it till springtime!

  19. Welcome, Koppykat (love the name)! We love it when new members join us. I'm assuming those are your kits in your avatar - they're lovely.

  20. Kilroy, I saw the other day that you are still having biting trouble with Georgie. I thought I'd share these two links to cat behavior consultants. They do email or phone consults. It could be worth the investment. I've read books by Pam Johnson-Bennett and she's great. The other one was linked at my favorite cat blog. I'm not as familiar with her.

  21. Thanks, ECB.

  22. I wonder, would they do international consults? I've searched high and low for cat behaviourists, but no one I can find has any experience with groups of cats :(

  23. ECB, I loved that pic you posted yesterday - looks like Jiggs would have looked like if we shaved him!
    Posting it again to share...

  24. Hi, Everyone!! OMG - I had missed that cheezburger - that is just too funny!

We had planned to take Willow to "that place" today but her doctor is out sick. She has a little nodule under her chin that we are a bit concerned about and want to have it looked at. I'm praying he will say "Oh, that's nothing". Maybe tomorrow he will be back in. There are two rather nasty viruses making their way around town and doctors sure aren't immune to getting sick, just like the rest of us.

  25. Skyron, mt favorite cat blog is by this wonderful lady named Pamela. She is really great (I love reading everyting she has to say about cats) and I believe she has had double digit numbers of cats before. Right now she has 4 because she is in a small apt. Anyways, I don't know if she does full blown consultations, but she does have a way for you to contact her with "Dear Pammy" questions. She might be able to further direct you to an actual consultant who has experience with groups of cats too. Here's the link....

There is a contact option on the home page.

  28. Hi littermates! (waving wildly)

BUSY getting back into the swing of things...

It was a little depressing on January 3, it was 1 year that we sent Tansey to the Bridge, and wouldn't you know it, Willow was not feeling good that day. Listless, little shaky on her legs...got us all worried and we made a vet appointment for Wednesday, but a few hours later she perked right back up and was being her normal naughty self.

I didn't do a good job of getting her flea stuff right down to her skin, a lot ended up on her fur and she was licking it off. I wonder if it upset her little tummy for awhile. She's acting normal now, thank goodness.

Posted 4 months ago by Siobhan #

  29. Aww, poor Willow baby :( I'm glad she's better now, Sio. It's so scary when something's wrong, isn't it?

Posted 4 months ago by Kilroy #

  30. Yes, glad little Willow is fine now! And I agree with Kilroy, it IS so very scary when we see something wrong with our furballs!
