  1. Lol, well the cat fight is finished now right, so she thinks that she should be able to do as she wants! Just like a teenager isn't she, poor baby being forced to stay inside where its safe. Good for you Mum!!

  2. HRH is snuggled up beside me now demanding chin scritches. I won't be popular when I move to make Mr MS's lunch in a minute.
Back soon, hopefully without rows of scratches.

  3. Evening, ladies, just here for a second or two, how are you both? I had a lovely lunch with my friend deep in the country, she had three wood pigeons blundering about her garden today, beautiful.

  4. Evening Jane, that is nice that you had a lovely lunch with your friend :)

Tonight is one for the books, I have a migraine myself and my co-worker has had one seizure so far....caught him before he fell, just can't do that tonight or at least not much tonight....

Posted 4 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  5. OMG, Deb. And you've only been there a few hours.

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  6. Hi Jcat, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wood pigeons, I'm jealous. We don;t get them in the built up areas here but I saw some fly past the day we went to see the glow worms. Glad your lunch was lovely.
I suvived making the lunch but I had to defend myself with a slice of cheddar which I sacrificed to the great cat HRH. She's back beside me but unsettled.
Good grief Deb, w**k isn't boring tnight. I hope you both feel way better very soon and that there is no more excitement there tonight.

  7. I know and we have 3.5 hrs left, hope that his meds kick in soon. Been dealing with this stuff with him for the last five years, just tonight is not a good one for me to do it.

I have tons of morning doves and little sparrows that visit my house, and the occasional visit from the hawk and the little tiny red headed birds...love to watch them and its easy entertainment for the crew. Haven't seen my cardinal couple lately, maybe they moved on to another place....they were lovely to see.

  8. Lol, I can just see you warding off Shadz with a piece of cheese, such sacrifices are her due. Miss Millie has already put herself to bed; Libs had her supper then disappeared outside, she will probably come back in later when her bratty little sister has fallen asleep.

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  9. LOL at the bratty sister. HRH is on the prowl around the room again. She'll settle when I go to bed ad she will most likely settle on Daddy's feet. She's taken to sleeping with him lately and I'm fine with that. It's way too hot & muggy lately to have a furry cat snuggling up with me.
Deb, si many lovely sounding birds. I get sparrows, starlings and the occasional blackbird and thrush drop in for bread at brekky time. The mynahs come down too but I chase them off, noisy raucous nuisance birds. They take off as soon as they see me.

  10. Awwww nice that Millie went to sleep, good choice by Libs to wait for her bratty sis to be in dreamland first before coming in.

The woodpeckers do that with me, they take off as soon as they see me. Would love to have Ravens in the area, guess they used to be abundant here before the city started growing.

  11. Ooh, ravens are spooky birds. Very big, very old, very intelligent. It's said that if the ravens ever leave the Tower of London, then it's all over, Rover, for England. Eek. I find them a bit scary. Would be amazing to watch though. Cardinals are beautiful birds, I do love the brightly coloured ones.

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  12. Jcat, did you know that the Tower of London keep and breed spare ravens to prevent that happening. Can't have it being all over Rover can they.
Well HRH has snuggled up against me yet again. I'll let her settle into a sleep then I'll sneak off to bed. But not just yet.

    Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  13. Ravens are huge birds but they are so intelligent. I love the Cardinals too, the couple I had in the backyard for almost a year....he would scold me if I was too slow in filling up the water and food dishes, lol.

  14. LOL, I love it when the birds get to know your habits concerning them. Mum feeds the sparrows every day and if she is slow getting the bread out they make a huge noise. Snuggy lays on the grass about 7ft from the bread but the sparrows still come down and they know Snuggy isn't allowed to touch them. It's so funny to watch the birds hopping around and teasing her.

  15. No, I didn't know that, MS, but it sounds very sensible. There can't be many ravens left in the wild in the UK, I wouldn't have thought. I wonder if it comes under the national security budget, lol.

Awww, Deb, what a bossy bird. Another animal who obviously likes to train his staff...

My goodness, MS, your family cats are so obedient. I could tell Libby she's not allowed birds a million times but she would never believe me and if she did, she wouldn't care a jot.

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  16. It's the way we've always trained cats in our family Jcat. They know right from wrong concerning wildlife, well most of the time anyway. She comes to a whistle and knows a lot of words and hand signals. Pretty much we trained her like a dog but not as intensively.
Speaking of HRH, she is now deep asleep so I'll be sneaking off to bed.
Sweet dreams Jcat & Deb. Deb, I hope the rest of your shift is uneventful and that knock of time comes round soon.
Headbonks to Libs & Millie and The Crew.
    Nighty night

  17. G'night Jan, sleep well and have sweet dreams, may the sleeping HRH stay asleep for at least a bit.....scritches in the morning for her.

Jane, lol the birds are bossy, they were sitting outside on the ground @ 8 pm waiting for more food....figure that the hawk had been hanging out all day so that stops them from feeling comfy.

Posted 4 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  18. Nighty-night, MS, I need to get to bed as well. Sleep well and sweet dreams and to you too, Deb, once your spell at *that place* is over for the night. Miss Millie has just woken up and come to help me with the computer, lol. Scritches to Shadz and the Crew. Miss Millie sends head bobs.

Deb, yes, they are probably telling you, 'quick, before the hawk comes back, quick!'

Posted 4 months ago by jcat #

  19. G'night Jane, sleep well and have sweet dreams....scritches and headbonks for the girls in the morning. Lol it was funny seeing them sitting on the ground and they walked off just enough so they were out of reach when I put the food out.

Posted 4 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  20. I do not think birds are as birdbrained as we like to think they are, Deb. Mind you, I think that about all animals...

We had her birthday party yesterday at a bowling alley and they had rock n bowl, so the lights were off and music was playing. All her friends and family had a great time!

  25. Whoops, OK so we're a little late :O But the sentiments are the same :)

I can attest that the ravens at the Tower of London are very big and very intimidating - those beaks are nasty looking!
