  1. BB, yep they have the little holes where the handles for the top are attached. We get rain but its all monsoon for the most part, so lots in a short period of time.

  2. Deb, that sounds exactly like the situation we have. Mr. K is resistant to the idea of getting a cat tree, doesn't want to clutter up the living room which is where our big windows are. We do put a chair in front of the glass doors to the balcony for George to lie on & he loves it, but it's not very high.

Time to try again with the cat tree idea...

Thanks everyone, for all the suggestions and help. I'm sure you're all sick to death of my problems with George (I know I am).

  3. Morning/afternoon everyone! Kilroy, so sorry that Georgie is being such a brat. Gracie was in a bitey mood yesterday, but she doesn't break skin. She was just wanting to get my attention.

I would love a bagel with cream cheese, lox and capers. Maybe some tomato soup to go with!

  4. Morning Kykat :)

Kilroy, if you can see that part of the show on Animal Planet maybe that will convince him. It has been shown on a couple of his shows that the higher position in the room stops a lot of the aggressiveness in most of the ones he has done stories about. They had a really cool looking one on this weekend's show, didn't look like the bulky cat trees at all...it was sleeker but served its purpose very well.

  6. Just had a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jam. I see I spelled lox wrong, sorry!
Good luck with the cat tree, Kilroy. I get nervous when Leela is higher than me; she gets bossy and intimidating. Her scratching post (a beam from our house reno) is in the corner behind the couch and she uses it a lot, and looks down at me real smug-like! I have to be careful because if she thinks Comet is pestering her and we're eye level, she can take it out on me - take a swipe at me and spit. Really, dainty Miss Leela is a spitter! It's kinda scary but I do my best not to let her think I'm scared.

  7. Just popping in for a sec... haven't read all the posts... I just got back from having two cervical biopsies, so prayers would be appreciated that everything comes back negative.

I am going to turn my mattress pad on high and curl up with the kits. I'd love a burnt grilled cheese with LOTS of cheddar, swiss and provolone (and whatever spills onto the pan and crisps up I'll take that, too!) and a hot chocolate but not too sweet. The sweet can come with a ton of marshmallow fluff on top.. .k?

Catch y'all later if I'm feeling better.

  8. See Joan, that's kind of what I'm afraid of. George loves to hide around corners & jump/swipe at me when he's in one of his moods, and I'm not sure being up high would be good :(

I have noticed that he never attacks me in my sleep; I usually wait until he's gone to sleep before I'll let myself sleep, but he could easily go after me when I'm sleeping & he doesn't. Which is a very good thing.

  9. IT IS SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!

Posted 4 months ago by WillowandWindismom #

  10. Joan, see mine (I have two tall cat trees and one short one) don't do that at all. They get up there and then relax totally.

JBBM, hugs to you and hope you feel better. One burnt grilled cheese with loads of cheese on it!

Kilroy, his show is on again this Saturday @ 5 pm, its called "Terrorizing my Clients" for this episode and its the Pilates instructor and her husband with their cat Ruby.

  14. Love JBBM and her burnt grilled cheese sandwiches :) I've had "that" done too - kinda ouchy so take it easy today.
Yes, keep the snow WWM! I'm so glad you are getting something of liquid form from the sky.
I understand where you're coming from Kilroy. At least I know what Leela's triggers are.
I don't have many cable channels so I'm missing out on some great cat shows - and lots of others for that matter!

  15. Before I head off to try and sleep, looks like Houston is getting pounded with rain and hail and a lot of people have no power due to storms right now.

  17. Ok, well got a call from the doctor and all my tests are coming back "normal". I said there is no way an MRI for me can come back normal, I am missing part of my head! The girl laughed and said "I mean 'normal' for you!"

    Posted 4 months ago by mollycat71 #

  18. How frustrating, MC! Do you have any more tests scheduled to try to figure out what's going on? Because it's not good.

  19. JBBM, I have had that kind of biopsy, I hope you feel better soon and get your grilled cheese.

Joan, Gracie is a hisspot, but we generally make fun of her when she is, because it has no rhyme or reason to it. When we first moved into our current house, she hissed everything, including her food and just has never gotten out of the habit.

JK, send me some cherries! Love em!

    Happy evening everyone.

  20. Hi KYK!

Posted 4 months ago by Kilroy #

  21. I get a cardiac halter monitor thing on Wednesday. I have to wear that for 48 hours. Besides that no. Not that I want something to be wrong with me, I just wish I had answers.

    Posted 4 months ago by mollycat71 #

  22. I'm off to home now folks, will check back in the morning.

Posted 4 months ago by Kilroy #

  23. {{{MC}}} You know your tests aren't going to be "normal" but how about some conclusions? We're all here, waiting with you.
Miss Leela must have missed me today while I was out because I'm getting some great legrubs! She is a real sweetheart when she wants to be!

Anyone want to head over to the night shift? *goes to see if lights are on*
