Yep, lights are on in the night shift lounge, relaxing music is playing and most important, fountains are flowing with your favorite brew!
The kittehs have picked up on a certain someone's post, and they are serving burnt grilled cheese sandwiches! Ok, not all of them are burnt! They are made to order any way you want them. They are very good with a slice of fresh tomato. Cheese puffs are coming out of the oven, and cheese cubes of all kinds are on the buffet table. Of course, if cheese isn't your current craving (what's wrong with you?? ummm...Leela typed that!) there are lots of delicious noms available too. The fresh fruit with your choice of chocolate or fruit dip is recommended this evening.
Me, I'm going for some sparkling wine, and making cheese ravioli with grape tomatoes (Meatless Monday at my house).
Welcome!

Hey Joan! What does the woodpecker feeder you have look like? I am curious. I had the downey, hairy and red bellied here on my suet today. Love those woodpeckers!! Today sure did fly by. :(
Yum! I LOVE grilled cheese with tomato sandwiches. Haven't had one for a long time. -
I would love a thick burnt grilled cheese please! Extra cheese on that please! I will take some sweet tater fries to go with it and a diet Pepsi.

Evening Joan,BB and MC. Just had lunch here so nothing for me thank you.

We have miniKK here and we're making banana nut muffins to deal to the pile of over ripe bananas thanks to the humid weather. I'll pop some through the worm hole later when we've finished.Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Oh delicious MS! Just what I need before bed, warm banana nut muffins! I will sleep like a kitten

Hey, nice to see you all!
The woodpecker feeder looks a lot like a regular feeder, but the feeding area is open and the holder is cage-like. Regular seed would fall right out; woodpecker food is peanut size.
Poor Leela ate too fast and barfed. She seems content to sit by the fire though. Comet is howling which means he wants to play. I stopped him midway from jumping on the table while we were eating and now I have eight more holes in the tablecloth, sigh.Posted 4 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Banana chocolate chip pecan muffins almost cooked and the aroma is simply heavenly. There is also a loaf of white bread that miniKK is making in the breadmaker. There are 2 bananas left and I will be making some banana nut bread. Just found a zucchini carrot cake recipe with good reviews so that will help me use up more of the glut of zucchini I have here.

Evening everyone!................. *happy dances* into the Night Shift......... so very glad to see our beloved tradition back!......... thanks (((((Joan))))))
............. hmmmmmmmm........... why ruin good chocolate chip/nut muffins with those evil yellow things????? LOL JK!............ Mr. AV secretly loves them! I think he's afraid to tell me!
....... having a night getting caught up on shows and eating some nice home made soup!
-
Hi AV, sorry about the 'evil yellow things' but I had a bunch getting overripe because of our humidity. Have you ever bought him some banana muffins as a surprise as long as he eats them outside. What a way to say I love you.
Yummmmm homemade soup. I'd have some now as long as it was a cold soup.Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Thank you MS. Thank you MS. :)
AV, I'm not the biggest fan of the evil yellow things, but I do like them in breads and muffins. *stuffs face with muffin*
Comet seems to have me wrapped around his little claw. He can't play with toys by himself; he "makes" me get the feather on a string so he can jump to "catch the bird". Then he snarfs and snorts with it in his mouth and walks away with it, with me in tow! I get tired and he lets me rest, then gives me the perfect combo of pittiful and demanding meows so I pick up the toy again.
One more round then I'm off to bed!Posted 4 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

LOL @ MS!........... Mr. AV actually got some 'evil yellow thing' bread the other day, cause one of Daughter's friends stopped bye and brought us some as a present for having her stay over the Holidays............. he enjoyed the whole loaf out on the beautiful porch with Cuddles :) ........... I think they bonded!
...... Joan, Comet has you trained well............ ;)

LOL, it seems I sensed what had already happened AV. Spooky! !
Joan, happy playing one last game with Comet and sweet dreams.

Evening Deb, I hope w**k is trundling on nicely and is very q***t. You don't want it bu*y with a personnel shortage.
Just relaxing here watching a childrens movie, it's all my brain will cope with this evening.Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

It's 12.10am in NZ, ... the night is warm in NZ and nippy in the USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters or the a/c, so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' summer and closed for Southern TDKers' winter.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land.Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Wow, I heard skidding and had to check who it was. Hi Jcat, how's your day been?

Definitely some yummy muffins and banana nut bread left. Putting some in the wormhole for you, stand back and be ready to catch.
Had a so-so day weatherwise here, sun and rain off and on and then the Rena's stern end decided to slide off the reef and sink. There will be more 'shite' washing up on beaches now.Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Airy is on standby for the beach clean brigade, it is different to the clean up we've been doing recently though. Different areas have received the washed up 'junk' but a wind change may bring it back to our section of beach.
Yippee HRH is inside and having supper. I'll be able to head to bed shortly.Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

It is late, MS, and you have been cooking up a storm so I hope HRH settles down happily and lets you toddle off to bed. I will be doing that soon too.
Unbelievable -- now you can dog fight on a phone application: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2084601/RSPCA-wants-ban-sick-mobile-phone-app-allows-players-train-killer-dogs-bloody-death-matches.html
I hope the public tells this sick company where to get off.
