A friend of Jean's has been updating SOM when she can...this was posted today...obviously, Jean is losing her fight, she does have stage 4 cancer...If you would like to send her a card, SOM or I have her address to do so. I was going to send another update. She was transferred to a hospice facility last night in Philly. The daughters, Ann and Sarah, wanted her to be transferrred near Pittston (her town), but the ride would have been 2 hrs. and too long for her to do. The girls have been with her for 4 days (Ann from Elizabeth NJ and Sarah from Maryland). She is sleeping a lot and very groggy when they wake heer. Em did speak with her 2 nights ago, but I haven't been able to talk with her (much to my regret). At this point, we just want peace for Jean. I would think the best way to send a card to the girls would be directly to Ann's adddress. I don't really know that they will be at their mom's house for any length of time. I will certainly keep you informed. Jean told me of the wonderful time she had with the "cat group", and showed us the cards she received. Are you the one who worked at Kinseys? I lived in Kunkletown before moving to Lancaster County to be closer to Laura 18 months ago.
