  1. Good Morning! A fluffy Persian flips the sign to "OPEN". An Orangie puts some wood on the fire to warm up the Northern Hemisphere side and the kits throw on the fans for our Southern Hemisphere friends. Coffee, Tea and Cocoa are brewing. Milk, Juice, Water and Soda are also available if you wish. Today we are having a "Pot Luck" at the cafe! Bring your favorite breakfast/lunch/snack item and let's see what we get. (And if it's REALLY good, we might want your recipe!) I am bringing a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Casserole! YUM!

It's Thursday, we're almost thru the week!

  2. Morning MC, the casserole sounds delish!

  3. It's yummy. My sister makes it for holidays.

  4. Yay for sisters! See thats why I had to find my own sisters, with only having two half-sisters that I have never met it just wasn't the same.

Posted 4 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  5. Yeah, I guess you could say they are good for some things!

    Posted 4 months ago by mollycat71 #

  6. Goodmorning MC and Deb. LOL at the sisters being good for some things, remember MC you are a sister too! !
Hmmmmmm, favourite lunch dish or easy evening meal would have to be Oakhill Potatoes. Just google and find a recipe that suits you. I made it several nights ago with left over Christmas ham. Tasty.

  7. MS, that brings up a really great recipe! Years ago my company gave us each a ham for Christmas. I got chosen to go pick up 27 hams and deliver them (I got paid for it but will never do that again!). When we went to the shop to pick them up I picked up some recipe cards cause I was bored. I found the best recipe ever for a Ham Soup. My mom made it all the time, well she still does, I am just not there when she makes it. I really need to get that recipe from her!

  8. Now you both are making me hungry :)

I am off to do a couple of things before I lie back down....

MC, have a nice day and hope that the monitor doesn't give you too many fits today.

Jan, sleep well and have sweet dreams, scritches to innocent HRH in the morning (you know she would never ever get involved in a cat fight).

  9. OK, since they are virtual foods I will bring the pastry -- Monkey Bread is hot and gooey on the buffet!

  10. The darn monitor is so hard to "conceal". I HATE answering questions all the time about my health. I am wearing a scarf on my head too cause I can't shower and didn't get to wash my hair so everyone is going to be in a panic something happened with my brain! UGH!

  11. Just nipped out to make Mr MS's lunch for work. Yikes it's almost 1am, way past my bedtime(cough choke).
MC, you get that recipe please, we get a full ham every Christmas from Mr MS's boss. That ham soup sounds good and it's another way of using up the ham.
Deb, I hope sleep comes calling. MC you have a good day even with the halter. MC, have you heard of the Girl Guide camp bath. You wash as far down as Possible and then as far up as Possible and then you wash Possible.
Nighty night all, I'm off to bed, the rain is falling and the frogs in the nearby pond are singing a joyous song. Tomorrow - er today Airy and I are rescuing miniKK from Nana. Sometimes teenagers and 90 year olds don't have much in common. LOL

  12. MMM... i love egg casseroles!

    Morning all!

I make a great mexican lasagna (that is what I call it). It was a recipe on the back of an Old El Paso tortilla box, or was it the Spanish rice? Anyway, it's delish and people still ask me to make it (but it is too expensive cuz of the boneless chicken breasts).

Okay, spent enough time hanging out in here... gotta get to w**k... Will check in later if I can. Everyone have a great day!

  14. Did someone mention "monkey bread?" Pass me a chunk of that and a hot chocolate. I also love breakfast casseroles. Everyone makes them a little differently and I've never tasted one I didn't like. LOL!

  15. G'morning. Here comes a big platter of breakfast sandwiches on an assortment of hard rolls, English Muffins, bread, and croissants: Taylor Ham egg and cheese, bacon egg and cheese, sausage egg and cheese, ham egg and cheese, egg and cheese, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam... Oooh, sorry, got caught up in the moment. A big bowl of pineapple chunks to balance it out. Enjoy!

  16. Hallo all! Hey Joan, Hermes got a claw stuck in his scratching post and started to yell about it. I had to rescue my big baby boy! LOL

  17. Morning, all. Mother Nature sent me a birthday present in the form of a purple rainboot day (yes I'm weird, I like rain). I'm just hoping it's only rain & not slippery. About to head out & find out.

Thanks to those who sent birthday cards :) I'm about to pop over to my birthday thread before heading out the door.

Posted 4 months ago by Kilroy #

  18. {{{Hermes}}} Leela will slip thru the wormhole to hang out with you and stare menacingly at the scratching post! Smooches on the ouchy claw from Auntie Joan.

It's not slippery out there, Kilroy - enjoy purple rainboot day!

Posted 4 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  19. *Whoooooooooosh* Kilroy blows back into the cafe, slamming the door on a gust of wind & rain. Wow, that was a bit much even for me :P The only part of me not soaked is whatever was covered by the purple boots. Time for a mug of hot coffee to thaw out my fingers (it's just barely above freezing out there).

Oh, smooches for poor Hermes' owie. See sweetie, mama loves you.

  20. Mmm, pot luck cafe smells yummers MC, thanks for opening up today! I am bringing Crockey's famous biscuits, just out of the oven so a bit warm. There are condiments galore plus now Lucky's honey butter to shmear on too! G'morning from grey & maybe wintery stormy later! Paw up waves to Joan, bday girl Kilroy, Sio, Lkat, Av, JBBM, MS, TM & Deb! Hope all enjoy there TGITh. I know I will for officemate is back, one boss is gone so hopefully it won't be so crazy busy. Now a big cuppa joe as Cranberry Cream and back to it. First a smooch for Tux, later kits!

  27. They are cute aren't they Deb...all you need is some time to be sweetly creative!
Okey, now back to being more not so creative...just fun on a $budget!

Posted 4 months ago by jeankit #

  28. Lol sometimes I couldn't be sweetly creative if I had a BIG block of time :) No imagination when it comes to kind of stuff, but I do appreciate others accomplishments.
