  1. It's a cold snowy day here in Ohio, so we have nice warm items on the menu...pancakes, waffles, grits, oatmeal, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea...of course we have anything you desire as well! The Tabbies are serving you today, so just give them your order.

I hope everyone has a good day. I have a Thirty-One party, and it's over a friends house, so I get to see her and sell Thirty One..I am excited...not excited about this weather but I will cart my items over there and make that sale...lol.

    How is everyone???

  2. Morning, CM. It's cold in here this morning, about 30 outside but it feels colder in the apartment. I've got the heat cranked and am waiting to unfreeze.

I'm having tea later today with my best friend who's coming up from Philly for the annual celebration of Sherlock Holmes' birthday (yes, Sherlockians are a bit nuts). Haven't seen her in forever so we will have lots to talk about over tea & scones with clotted cream.

  5. Hi CM, Kilroy & AV! Have fun with your plans! Think I will hang around the house today. Pack away the Christmas decs and put some winter decs up.

AV, we have a small pirate flag outside attached to a tree. It flies above the cauldron - no kidding, I have a real life-sized cast iron cauldron!

  6. Every year we fly our pirate flag right after the New Year, through February.......... Gasparilla starts mid-January (children's parade is next weekend) and goes through the end of February ........ there is the HUGE traditional Big Parade, a night parade in Ybor City, balls, parties, and a traditional golf tournament at the oldest golf club in town..........

.......... pretty much the City is 'obsessed' with pirates for about a month and a half!...........' aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh matey'.........

......... Joan, I won't even ask what the cauldron is for......... LOL

  7. Why AV, I'm sure you don't think I use it for anything other than a planter! ;)
I go with either red or orange flowers; impatients do very well as long as I remember to water them. There's a gazing ball in it now, rising up from it's tall stand.
Every year I hear you talk about Gasparilla, and every year it sounds like a blast! Yaarrr!

  8. ................. oh if you ever have the chance to come to Tampa mid-January, you simply must experience it for yourself! It's so much fun!!! and anyone is welcome to stop by my house for a meet up - I'm only a block from all the lollapalooza!

  9. If I'm down that way, I will certainly take you up on that AV, thanks!
Got some beef stew brewing in the crockpot - starting to smell good. It will go well with football :)
It's biting cold out, and flurries are in the air. Nice to be inside by the cozy woodburner; Leela's fur is HOT!
