I'll be out of the TDK Roller Rink for a while: I just found out that my oldest stepson passed away either late last night or earlier today. He was 26. I'll need someone to manage the rink for a while until I can pull myself together.

Thank you all for the condolences. My three stepsons had their own place together; now that my oldest stepson passed away, my other two are, technically, homeless. My youngest stepson had spent the last couple of nights here, and I have no clue where Stepson #2 has lain his head. I've let them know they always have a home with their father and me.

Thanks for checking in, Vicki. How hard it must be for your stepsons to lose a brother and a home in one unexpected event. Thank goodness they have a good relationship with you and their father and the offer of shelter with you. Families can really show their strength in times like this. You are a strong woman. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around this. I just saw him the day before he passed away; he was taking a nap on his living room floor, then he got up and ate. That was the last thing I saw him do. His daughters' mother and his first little brother found him the next day. I forgot to mention he left behind two daughters: an eight-year-old and a seven-year-old.
