  1. Kitties are dressed as butterflies and bees in honor of Muhammad Ali's 70th birthday today. (He flies like a butterfly and stings like a bee!) Also, some of the kitties have little white wigs and pretty lipstick on in honor of Betty White's 90th birthday! They are arranging the buffet table with delicious noms and drinks and will make whatever you want to order.
Kittens are playing with little boxing gloves under the watchful eye of their daddies.
The big screen tv is alternating between "The Greatest's" fights and episodes of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" featuring Sue Ann Nivens, "Hot In Cleveland", and "Golden Girls".
    Welcome!

  2. Morning Joan!
Happy 70th, Ali! And Happy 90th Betty! I love that woman :)
I'll grab a hot cuppa joe and settle down in front of the tv :)

  3. Morning, all. I'm at that place a little before my official starting time but no way am I starting the awful boxing project until the dot of 10. So here I am :) Think I'll help myself to a Dove hot chocolate from the buffet (I've gotten addicted to that stuff, eek) and have a quiet sit for a minute.

  4. Morning all from snowy brewtown. First trudge to wurk of the Season, not bad for being mid Jan I guess. Fun cafe, thanks Joan...Happy birfday to our fave golden girl Betty! Mmm dove hot choco sound yummy Kilroy...mixed w/java would be a delightful mocha to start the day with! Actually today we are sippin' mocha mint...yum too! Hi Kat...how are the boys today. My kits were on the bed when I left as Crockey under the bed covers and Lucky on top of them! So back to more fun on a budget! Now, a smooch for Tux, later!

  5. Hi JK! Awwwwwwwww, I can picture your boys all snuggled up on the bed with Crockey under the covers :) So glad they're doing well together.

  8. Oooo just read the flavor of day at Kopps our local custard place as Snowdrift: white choco custard, white Cream de Cocoa, white choco chips, white ribbons & white mini marshmellows...other flavor is Tiramisu...as double dip if you need more fun! Anyway since I walked to work & it is snowing I probably won't take the care 2 miles just for today's treat/s. So, get another topper on my joe & back I go but first a smooch for Tux, later!

  9. My boys are great, Jean! They are very cuddly with each other, I suppose they are cold, lol. Yesterday, I was down on the floor trying to work out, and Rambo was going bananas, headbutting me and purring and loving me up...so sweet, but dude, seriously! So awesome about your 2 boys!

Posted 4 months ago by katthays #

  10. Thanks Kat...someday maybe they'll be as cuddly as their neighbors! Crockey did push a paper ball off his pirch toward Lucky last nite & Luck did respond 1x! He's still not used to indoor activity except totally enjoys lounging while the heat is on w/his catnip little pillow! Well, it is lunchin' time in brewtown & it is still snowing outside! So, I'm headed to the always purrfect patio w/ another cuppa joe & some virtual Kopp's custard as Snowdrift w/little Tuxi-o...to the lounge chair kit!

  11. I just took a walk through the newsroom, just for a little human contact, and it was really weird. Lots of people being really sweet, but it feels like I already don't work here anymore :( Guess that was a mistake.

Posted 4 months ago by Kilroy #

  12. Aww Kilroy, not a mistake but a realization that change is in the air for new job with new skills developed, meeting friends, associates in uncharted territory as experiences waiting to be discovered !

  13. Just gotta say...sometimes the stars align. Had an "oh crud" moment and have been trying to keep my New Year's resolution (the one that says to deal with "oh crud" moments with optimism). Well, lo and behold, I got a nice shot in the arm from a friend - who didn't know what was happening - which gave me the attitude uplift I needed! Cool, huh?

Yay Joan for the stars aligning themselves.

  16. Nasty day here. Ice, Sleet, Rain, Snow, Wind, you name it. Travel has been challenging. But I am home and happy about that!

Got a call late last night that I needed to call my doc and get in ASAP to discuss my test results from my cardiac monitor. Of course I was nervous all night. I was getting something from my freezer and a tub of frozen cookie dough fell out right onto my foot. Made my forget my heart for a while!

Got in today and I am glad I did. First I cracked a bone in my foot! Nothing to do but let it heal. Second, the DID find things on my cardiac monitor. I am very tachycardic, (fast heart rate) but actually my heart is quite interesting per the cardiologist. I miss beats, I am early on beats, late on beats, have normal beats, really fast heart when I sleep, etc. My heart rate jumps from 52-156 bpm with nothing tied to it. Only time I did have any connection was when I had a Chiari headache and I was around 120-140bpm. They normally put someone like myself on meds but because my blood pressure is so low, they can't do that either. So now I have to see the cardiologist. What is interesting is people with Chiari are often diagnosed with tachycardia and they have no idea why.

  19. MC, well I do hope that they find something to help you with the heart beating so fast. Now dropping the frozen cookie dough, ouch!

Nice tribute to Bella of Bella & Tarra @ the Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, TN.

  23. Good morning all, ugh sleet and cold. We have an overcast and occasional drizzle morning so far but there is the promise of bright sunshine this afternoon. Come on over and relax on the beach(no oil I promise).
MC, you are a totally interesting person medically as well as personally. I wonder if they might give you a pacemaker to keep you in a good rhythm. We have several friends with pacemakers. Ouchy on the frozen cookie dough v the foot.
Oh my, the screen went all blurry when I read the story of Shirley & Jenny. So beautiful, and so is the tale of Tarra & Bella.
Busy making plum sauce here and the house smells of vinegar, mace and plums. Mmmmm.

    Posted 4 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  24. Morning Jan, ah ha the plum sauce sounds like it will be nice.

JK, M&M's are always good for a snack...

Anyway soon it'll be time to trudge back home to my furry duo...a comforting two to smooch before I get in some shoveling aerobics, later kits as on the flipside!
