  1. Morning one and all, its been a rather slow weekend....which isn't a bad thing. All the kittehs are putting things together for the breakfast buffet. We have waffles, pancakes, eggs to order, crisp bacon, ham, sausage, crisp bacon, freshly sliced tomatoes and avocados (with lemon to squeeze on the avocados and salt & pepper), grits, hash browns, and other assorted foods that anyone wants....

This is probably why I like animals more than people a lot of days...

  4. Evening, Deb, how are you? Miss Millie and I spent some time outside today. She was not entirely happy about it but did enjoy trying to catch grass stems to chew. Poor little bobbin couldn't keep them in her mouth though. And she enjoyed watching Libby playing like a mad thing through the garden. I don't think she is very keen on grass and dirt to sit on as opposed to a nice soft couch though, and she kept trying to climb up my shoulder. You would think she would love all the different smells to sniff but I think she thinks outdoors is a very poor substitute for a soft duvet and a comfy spot in front of the telly, lol.

  5. Evening Jane, awww she knows the 'good life of a spoiled kitteh' when she has it :) Bet it was fun though watching her with the grass and just being outdoors.

Posted 3 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  6. It was fun watching her huge eyes as Libs rolled around on the concrete path and cavorted across the grass, throwing bits of grass into the air, Debs... She was like, OMG! Mills just sat in one spot, with my hand steadying her, the whole time, she didn't want to move at all (except to climb up my arm)...

Posted 3 months ago by jcat #

  7. See I wonder if she didn't want to scare Libs away, so she tried to stay still...ok as still as a little Millie could be :)

So how was your day otherwise?

Posted 3 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  8. Could be, Deb, could be, she is certainly finding out that there is more to her big sister than she ever realised -- she can catch mice, she can leap in the air ...

Otherwise, meh, it was a day, didn't get much work done but got done what I needed to, chipped some old mortar off some recycled bricks (one day I will have a nice courtyard and paths in the garden), I had a late night last night so I wasn't exactly raring to go today. How about you? Do anything nice?

Posted 3 months ago by jcat #

  9. OMG, suddenly it's 1am. I need to go to bed. Nighty-night, Deb, sleep well and sweet dreams when you get home, scritches to the Crew.

Posted 3 months ago by jcat #

  10. Didn't do a thing besides trying to sleep today. G'night and sleep well with sweet dreams, scritches to the girls in the morning and may they have leaping in the air dreams :)

  11. Guten Morgen! Good Morning! Good Evening NZ! Just sitting here watching Dr G (she is a medical examiner in Orange County, FL {when Disney World is!}). She does autopsies on people and they make a show out of her more interesting and/or peculiar cases. A friend at work told me to be sure to watch this weeks, there was a death from Chiari Malformation! Interesting!

  12. MC, love to watch her shows, always interesting to see how she finds the final decision.

  13. Morning all!............ I had to laugh at KK's post last night ........... and yes, I MIGHT have been known to 'caper' around - doning 'the' tutu, pirate hat, beads and consuming KOTSW - ................... but that was just so I'd blend in with everyone else.......... that's my story and I'm sticking to it ;)

................... actually, yesterday had to be a record turn out - I bet we topped 500,000............ the weather was perfect - sunny and about 73. After my last post, Mr. AV put our porch rockers out on the sidewak - one facing southeast, one facing northwest (we live on a corner).............. and we had a front row seat to the mass exodus.............. hilarious!!!!.......... only a few 'major' incidents - one poor guy decided 'biking while intoxicated' was a good idea, and he is now sans the skin on both his knees........... another couple thought that perhaps a 'passed out nap' on the front lawn would suit, but Mr. AV's hose convinced them otherwise.............. he was actually very nice, got the girl up and let her sit in his rocker - until she emptied the contents of her stomach all over it, herself and the sidewalk............ parametics in golf carts were then flagged down, and Mr. AV then hosed down the rocker................. there were the typical drunken 'you don't love me' and 'I am NOT drunk' fights that could be heard........... and of course, THOUSANDS of beads - some people had so many around their necks I don't know how they could stand! overall, a pretty typical Gasparilla!!

..... the college crown was about 20 strong, and they were all great kids - partying, but none of them got out of control, ate everything that I put out (and then some) and actually helped me clean up last night!....... this morning we'll get them on the road, and then probably spend the day washing and mopping the floors...............

hope everyone is having a nice day!

  14. The goggies would not have survived that. They're a bit squeemish . . .

Posted 3 months ago by Skyron #

  15. Yep, Sky, goggies and small children are best left at home during this wildness............ that's how the 'childrens' parade developed - for the little ones, it's the weekend before this big parade, no alcohol, very family friendly............ probably gets 100,000 to 200,000 people............ MUCH more mellow!...............

  16. Sounds like a pain in the rear . . . Good luck with the cleaning, and the mopping . . .

I'm in bed today. Was in bed yesterday as well, because of a headache. And its not even a migraine this time, just my head not wanting to be attached to me anymore. We should look into renaming tdk the headache club . . .

Posted 3 months ago by Skyron #

  17. I certainly hope not Skyron. There are illnesses and pains galore in this world. TDK was actually created for a fluffy place to go to so that people do not have to be their illness or pain and can have fun and companionship!

  18. Hi, Everyone!

Hope everyone has a fun, and relaxing, Sunday planned. I'm afraid that I will be doing ironing, which I really don't like, but I have somehow managed to avoid for like three months. And the clothes multiplied, I think!!!

So right, SM! And, I am sending lots of prayers and hugs your way today!

  19. Morning everyone, up and trying to keep quiet cause hubs is still asleep. The girls are looking out the windows and cooperating, which is nice. Gotta watch a Japanese film and write a 3-4 page paper later, but that won't be too bad. We both realized yesterday our stamina is crap. With both of us having disabilities in the winter it's so much easier to sit, and not do anything. But we went to the mall, and best buy and then out to outback with our gift card we got for Christmas, then came home and we were pooped. We're going to work on building that back up because we have our annual trip to Boston in April and we'll be miserable if we can't keep up with our friends there.

  20. Morning everyone :)

{{{Skyron}}} hope you feel better soon...

  21. Thanks WWM--this will go well--if I survive the prep! I just think fluffy kittens and remember that there is WAY more in life than this particular time!

  22. Great attitude, SM! I'm in your cheering squad!

  23. Hi everyone! Quiet day around here. Leela is being especially nice to me - she knows I'm a little blue.
Hope everyone has a nice day - Gasparilla sounds like a total success!

  24. ................ THEY STOLE MY NEW FLAG!!! ............... :(

...... must have come up on the porch, stole the flag and pole!!! I'm so sad!

just discovered it while I was cleaning................ went out to the porch, and kept thinking.............. something's different.............something's different - then looked up, and IT WAS GONE!................. *sighs* why are people like that?

Posted 3 months ago by AV #

  25. NO!!!! Was it the pirate flag?

AV, could it have been those 'wet souls' that were encouraged not to take a 'nap' on the front lawn? That bites gorilla toes that they STOLE your flag!

  27. Hi again, fell asleep reading the paper. I have been so high strung lately running around to doctors, getting tests, doing this and that, that I am like Joan, I am just blah and kinda blue today. I think I finally just pooped out. I do see the cardiologist on 2-2-12 @ 2pm. Wonder if it is a sign? I had my hernia surgery back in August @ 2:22:22 pm! Two is now my NEW favorite number!

    Posted 3 months ago by mollycat71 #

  28. That totally bites that someone stole your flag!!!
