Hi all, just popping in for a sec. Yay for Sir Patrick coming home at last!
MC, hang in there with the job hunt. I actually applied for a researcher position with one of the shows at CNN today; my work e-mail hasn't been disabled yet so I was able to e-mail the recruiter from a company address & let her know that I had applied. 5 days ago I could have done it from work & shown up as an "internal candidate" but it wasn't posted yet, go figure.
Mr. K & I spent time today working on our taxes, argh. Why oh why can't they simplify the dumb things? The IRS already has all the info; why can't they just send you a postcard that says "this is what you owe" or a check for any refund? As CM would say, really?
I was nowhere near the Giants parade, which is probably a good thing :)

Ok, first interview tomorrow at 11amCST. It is a "staffing company". Basically I go talk to them, they decide if they like me and then they go look for jobs. They have a position right around the corner from my sister. There is also a hospital that FF's fire-station uses for their patients. I also have two interviews next Friday at 12 noon CST with St Anthony's where my brain surgeries were. The girl that is in charge there is only 24 for to her I am ancient. She said "I can't imagine having as many years experience as you! That's a LONG time to work!" I don't think of it that way but then again, I looked at life differently when I was 24

MC, having been fired before I understand how you feel, most importantly know that you didn't do anything to bring it on. Wrong place, wrong people, wrong timing brought it all on.....I think yours was a bit like mine, higher up didn't like that you could know more than they did, that others liked you and that they felt threatened by your presence. It took me awhile to realize that {{{MC}}}

Its great that you have so many options lined up already MC. If I was in your position, I'd need at least a month to scrape my self esteem back together for it to be strong enough to go back into the market. I never knew how much of my self-worth was attached to my job till I lost it. Have you considered going into private practice? Do you your own thing?

I need about a year Sky, I am very sensitive. I may not come across as such but I get deeply hurt in situations like this. I have to pick myself up and get a job SOON cause I have no money at all and nothing coming in. Bills still coming and I am going to be in quite a mess soon if I don't find SOMETHING. I am not going to settle but I need to decide soon. I may take a job and continue to interview. IF I find something way better I can take it and leave the job. I do like having some flexibility.
