Peeks in, seeing that its after midnight here in AZ I am assuming that those in the USA are sleeping, NZ are out and about enjoying the weather, and those in the UK are just starting their day.
Slides a large margarita & a tequila chaser down to KK and one with sugar on the rim to CSBM :)

Wanted to share this from FB, made me smile :) Things that show up when we least expect it.
The German Shepherd Dog Community
Just wanted to share a story that I have kept to myself until now...one day a few weeks ago, I had a pretty bad day at work and was feeling pretty low (for those of you who don't know it, I work in law enforcement, an often stressful job).
I was driving around in my police car, deep in thought, when I saw a group of children trying to wave me down. The reason they were flagging me down....it was a dog. A lost dog, well taken care of, a sweet beagle, who looked to be fairly young. They told me that it had been following them and gotten "hit" by a car....the lady took off. They were unable to give me a description of the vehicle so I could track her down.
I opened my car door to check out his injuries and called him to me. I was afraid that the uniform might scare him, so I motioned him over to the car as I was still seated in the driver's seat.
Without a second thought, he RAN and jumped....straight into my lap. And in my lap, he stayed. As I waited for 15 minutes for the Animal Control unit to arrive, he stayed. The first few seconds, he stared soulfully into my eyes, assessing, thinking. Making a decision, he leaned into me with his warm body, resting his head on my chest. HE was comforting ME. A dog, lost, scared and alone, one that I had never met before, who had just gotten hit by a car, somehow sensed MY mood, and was comforting me.
I felt every stress and fear melt away as I petted his soft fur. He swiped one, two kisses on my hand, no more, and settled in to offer what comfort he could.
A thought occurred to me at that moment. At the lowest points in my life, in my saddest moments, I believe that a Higher Power has sent me a dog to make my burdens easier to bear. I think that it was no coincidence that little Beagle was out there that evening, and that I came across him. Tears filled my eyes and I struggled to hold them back as this occurred to me.
No wonder Dog is God spelled backwards.
After that fifteen minute wait, the AC unit arrived, and I reluctantly helped my new friend into the truck. He did not seem to be injured by the car who had hit him, and I was so happy to see that he had no obvious signs of being hurt. He had no tags on his collar, but I found out later that he WAS microchipped, as I kept tabs on him after he was taken to the shelter the next day. His owners came to take him home.
The rest of that bad day was so much better, and I was able to cope with things after that. All because of the instant and unconditional love of that dog....who didn't even know me. ♥
