  1. Good morning all! Yaya - a TigerButt just came through the wormhole! Today he gets to keep The Bobster company at the office with me. I took Milo the last two days and figured it was Bobsky's turn today. He's sniffing around the office now, I guess he smells Milo was here.

Can I have some more coffee? I already had 2 extra larges at Dunkin this morning! I'm SO tired. Had IT problems at work yesterday so instead of going home and then to the tournament at 4:30, I didn't get out of here until 5:45 when the IT guy in NJ finally fixed the problem. Then I dropped Milo off and went and worked the tournament til 12:15. Got home and in bed by one and up by six. Picked up a player to go to the airport at 7:00. Yawn!
I'm SO glad I'm off on Monday! I think I'll sleep all day!

    Bobsky says hi!

  14. My boyfriend really surprised me for Valentine's Day — he cleaned the living room and did the dishes! (It's a very long story why I'm so happy about this, so I'll just say that I'm proud of him right now).

  17. Hi Everyone! Happy TGIF!

Hey Catherine - I'd take having the living room cleaned and the dishes doe as a Valentines Day present over flowers any day!

Once, the boyfriend of one of my co-workers agreed to go to Ikea with her as a Valentines Day gift! ;-)

Posted 4 years ago by Rubia in CA, 4/28 #

  18. Rubia, that's funny, local radio station was just talking about Ikea being a "chicks store". The DJ said his wife talked him into going with her recently and felt so "out of his element" there..LOL I don't understand, I like Ikea..not quite as much as Walmart though...

  19. It was nice to come home to a living room that looked like one and not like a tornado had just hit.

  20. TGIF! It is sunny and bright with light wind right now. Temps around 43 degrees but suppose to warm up to around 60 degrees today.

N&N's Mom, I loved your Michigan poem so much I sent it to my Uncle who lives in Michigan and to my Dad who is a transplant from Michigan. They will appreciate the poem. I have experienced minus 8 degrees with about two or so feet of snow on the ground. This was in Feb 2001 when I had to go back for my Grandmother's funeral. Wow was that cold!

Mia was very good last night. We played with the special feathers on the wand. The feathers twirl and make the same sound feathers on a bird make when it is in flight. Both Mia and Sylvester love this toy. I managed to wear them out enough that they both took naps - Mia on one of the chairs and Sylvester on the cat condo (I want to get them a bigger cat condo and have been checking out the cat castles on ebay like the one GD has).

I would like three over easy eggs, five slices of extra crispy bacon, a bowl of fresh canteloup, melon, strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, and orange slices, please. Oh and a large mocha with whip cream.

  21. 2b - I agree, Ikea is more of a "chick" store! LOL. Plus - you know how much most men LOVE shopping! Most men just want to get in, get what they want, and then get out, and can only tolerate shopping for a limited period of time! That is definitely a problem with Ikea! You have to start at the beginning and make your way through the entire store until you get to the end! But the men definitely come in handy if you want to buy any of the furniture. That flat pack stuff is heavy and those big cart things are awkward to push around. ;->

  22. Rubia, my soon to be ex-husband liked shopping in IKEA. If I wasn't pushing him, we would have spent hours in the place just shopping for a computer desk and a dresser. He likes to look at every little thing. I made the mistake of giving him a gift certificate to Macy's on his birthday. When we went shopping in the Men's dept, he had to look at everything. I decided the only time I would ever go shopping with him is to the grocery store and I didn't do that very often either as again he wanted to just wander the aisles like he had all the time in the world. I want to get in, get the items I need, and get out. Only in bookstores is where I want to look at everything.

Boss is back in the office today. I miss my old boss who use to work from home on the Friday after traveling Tue-Thurs. Oh well.

  23. Yay, a kitty castle for Sylvester and Mia!!!

I'm assembling the new one Sunday night or Monday when I get time and of course there'll be a movie or two.

  24. SMM, I had one of those "twirling feathers" toys once... for a very brief time. I picked one up at the cat show, figuring my kitties would love it. (At that time I had RT, Jerrie, and Gibbie) I took it home and prepared to Wow! the group, who were all gathered around, very interested. I swung it one way - the eyes were big as saucers - and then swung it the other way, where the "flying thing" smacked Jerrie right across the face. He was terrified of the thing after that, and I finally gave it away. No doubt it brought back some really bad memories of the time I had a duck in my fireplace (but that is a different story). We went back to the good old Catdancer and everyone was happy.

  25. I've got some fresh homemade leek and potato soup and homemade white bread if anyone wants some - very warming for those who are in the cold.

I'll take a large glass of champagne please. A friend of mine has just had a cancer op and it looks like all is going well. He will be coming home tomorrow, only 4 days after the op. The surgeon was very pleased with him.

    Posted 4 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_26/05 #

  26. That sounds delicious, Pollys Mum. I think I'll have some.

    Posted 4 years ago by Cats4Cats #

  27. One large mugful coming down the wormhole with a thick slice of bread. (You may want to add seasoning to the soup - not much salt in it.

    Posted 4 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_26/05 #

  28. Mimosa please! And congrats to your friend PMSpain... what good news that the surgery went well and he is headed home after only 4 days.
