  2. Work on saturday??????????!!!!!!!!!! How uncivilised!

No, no more car boot sales - did deliver a bit more stuff to the auction house today, which will go under the hammer on Wednesday though.

Tomorrow I'm surprising Mum - all she knows is to be ready for 10.30 - I'm driving her to meet an old school friend of her's for lunch, they haven't seen each other in years (certainly at least 11), and only spoken a few times on the phone more recently, because of Mum's deafness. Sunday is my chill day too!

  6. Going to Bangor to see daughter tomorrow. 5 hours driving there and the same again back, always assuming that the M1/M6 jinx doesn't get me again. It's a long way in a day - but it's my daughter!

  11. PM, you mentioned Bangor and I immediately thought of Bangor, Maine, USA and though yes that is a heck of along drive not to mention needing a boat.

  14. They've always stayed in touch linda, even if just birthday & christmas cards. I've spoken to her a few times, and we had a plan to meet up for lunch once Mum was a bit more settled - and as she's having her other eye op next week, this seemed as good a time as any for a treat! I'll start cracking the whip about sorting the remaining boxes next weekend - I want my dining room back!!

PM - as soon as I'd posted that I thought about Sunday services...hope you have a good journey each way, take it steady (or at least, don't get any speeding tickets!!)

  18. We're doing Angus Dei in my church choir! Different version though. There are too many to keep track of. We only do one service though.

  27. PM - Yes, they're evil aren't they? Quite how I've kept a clean licence for as long as I have I don't know, especially when I was regularly driving to and from Swansea to see Chris - my guardian angel must've been on serious overtime back then!
