  1. They have now got digital speed cameras on the M25, so they are more accurate and can be set closer to the actual limit. Don't take any risks, especially around the Heathrow area in the variable speed limit section.

  4. MCW-Very proud of you! How's the gym going? I'm better at going to the gym. It's the snacky bits that get me...I mean, someone in my office has the Dove squares just sitting right out...COME ON!

  5. Picture I wanted didn't come up. Yes, Linda I can leave..just being lazy.

  6. It's not haiku, it's not even a poem... but a 'sheep' joke that is just begging to be shared.

Bob walks into his bedroom with a sheep under his arm and says:

"Darling, this is the pig I have sex with when you have a headache."

His wife is lying in bed and replies: "I think you'll find that's a sheep, you idiot."

The man says: "I think you'll find that I wasn't talking to you."

  9. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! :-D Good one 2P!

Linda - went to the gym this morning, that's my fifth visit since my induction session 10 days ago...I do great when I'm there, but ache like hell afterwards!! I'm not sure if I'm aggravating my dodgy shoulder though, so am taking it easy on some machines. I think the sit ups are starting to have an effect though!

  15. Mine's a ladies only gym, so no cute instructors for me to ogle!

  16. I put my back out just a while ago. I had started a new gym and was doing so well, but haven't been able to go for nearly 2 weeks. I'm going to start again nest week.

  17. btw, MCW...go back and read your post re the boot sale...Freudian slip perchance? ;)

alright PM! Good for you, but take it slow...you don't want a relapse

  18. I've seen a nice pair of jeans, but I'm not allowing myself to get them (or even try them on) til I've lost half a stone. Otherwise I'd have to buy a bigger size, and I just refuse to do that! It was bad enough having to buy some smart trousers in a bigger size for that interview a few weeks back.

  19. Ooops, thanks linda, I've edited it! Mind you, considering the seller's commission they take, maybe it was a freudian slip...!

  20. 'Night shift is open
Pull up a stool or chair
    What is your pleasure'

ALMOST a haiku--sorry to be anal, but a haiku has 5/7/5 syllables
Technically, the middle line here has only 6--unless you're from Texas and you draw out the stooooooooooooool to be 2 syllables! :)

(sorry, but the former English teacher in me just couldn't resist!)

  21. Hey fonda honda, don't make us revisit haikus, they were hurting our brains!!!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  22. hee-hee...I totally understand...I need new clothes but refuse to buy any till a lose a few pounds. Excuse me while I go look up what a "stone" is!

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  23. I want to lose at the very least 2 stone, 3 or 4 would be better. I ressemble a barrage balloon at the moment. Too much food and too little exercise, the ususal recipe for disaster.

Well I must go to bed now. I want to leave at 5.00 am tomorrow to miss the worst of the traffic and so that I have more time with my daughter in Bangor.

  24. A stone is 14 pounds.

    Posted 3 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_26/05 #

  25. Sorry, I'll translate - 1 stone = 14 lbs

I'm currently 11 stone (the most I've EVER been) which means I can still just squeeze into a UK size 14 (which I think is a US size 18) - I'd like to get back into a 12, but think a comfortable, toned 14 is more realistic!!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  26. Safe journey PM!

Nah, got that sizing thing wrong - a UK 14 is a US 10. I think.

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  27. I've confused myself now...!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  28. ...and PM does NOT look like a barrage balloon!!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  29. Nite PM! Drive carefully!

Thanks for the equivalant...I JUST LOOKED IT UP! :)

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  30. I refuse to admit to the weight or the size I am at the moment. It's a secret shared between my trainer at the gym and myself. Mind you, when they measured me, I am just over an inch taller that I always thought I was. My passportr says I am 1m70 or 5' 7", now I'm measured as 1 m 73 in other words 5' 8" and a squidgy bit.
