  8. Sorry linda, I was off reading the other threads.

    Presses print in 4 colors. Cyan (blue) magenta (red) yellow and black. Sometimes, to get black, there will be a mix of all 4 colors (which is undesirable). When it is printed on the press, if the colors are off a fraction, the colors will look like a highlight is around it. If the black is small type, it makes it hard or impossible to read.
    Next time you pick up a newspaper, look closely at the colors. Press runs, especially at the beginning are usually really off, and the printers have to adjust the presses until it's cleaner.

  9. Newspaper presses run many copies on porous paper, unlike magazines that are more precise and print on slick paper.

  10. Okay..just as I thought..Boss came and tried to pounce on me and I mentioned now and pointed to the time of which he said it is that late..wow. So he just mentioned a few things and I will follow up on Tues. I am out the door now before he gets off his phone call.

    Maybe on later if Mia allows it or I am not too tired. Have to plan my meal for my family get together tomorrow.
