  5. Thank you for all of the prayers and good wishes. Mom has pneumonia--a spot on one of her lungs. It was not a stroke. She received IV antibiotics this morning and was also getting oxygen. I got there and waited with her for about six hours (total of 8 hours for her) before a regular bed became available in the hospital. She is much more comfortable, alert, but tired. I had to push to get her food and to get them to give her the medications she usually takes. I'm so glad I went up to be with her! I'm staying with my sister and will probably be here through the weekend, but I wanted you to know how much your support has meant to me! Thank you!!

  10. What good news! If pneumonia can be called that. My mother had it this summer, a bad case of bronchitis became worse, and we were pretty worried but she came out of it. Glad you are staying a while. Take care.

  12. Wow KW,pneumonia is definitely better than a stroke but still serious,my Dad has been in the hospital a couple of times with pneumonia. He still uses nebulizers but is otherwise fine. I'm so glad you were with her,with the "system" the way it is it's best if everyone has an advocate to make sure things are done. You and your family have my continued prayers.

  13. Kw, just saw this. I am sorry I didn't see this yesterday. I am glad your mother didn't have a stroke, but am sorry to hear she has pneumonia. I hope she recovers quickly and stronger than ever. You take care of yourself while you are out there, too. Sending prayers and love to KW and her family. Stay well and safe. Love Lynn

  19. KW...Thank goodness it wasn't a stroke & your mom is much more comfortable. She's probably happy to have her little girls around her too. I pray that the 'spot' is only from the pneumonia & is cleared up with meds. God Bless her. And {{{HUGS}}} to you & Sis for being there for her.

  22. KW, please add my prayers to those of all the others. Pneumonia is hard at that age but our treatment options now are just so good. Get some rest for yourself, too.

  25. I spent time with my mother at the hospital this morning. She is much better! She's had a second round of IV antibiotics and they are keeping her another day so she can have a third round tomorrow morning. They plan to send her home with antibiotics in pill form tomorrow! *happy dance* :-)

    I will be in Vancouver through tomorrow to make sure Mom gets home from the hospital OK. I told her about the prayers and the TDK healing white light. She said to tell everyone "Thank you!" She is a strong believer in the power of prayer.
