  1. PM, the Princess Bride is one of my all-time favorites! A couple of months ago I had a princess party for my two nieces, age 4 and 6. We watched the Princess Bride, they wore tiaras and they ordered my 19 year old son around, calling him "Farmboy." He had to reply "As you wish." It was great fun!

  4. lol CW. When I was a kid, I didn't realize Princess Bride was a spoof/satire. Obviously, I figured it out as I got older — and love it all the more. "Inconceivable!"

  5. Hello CCM, missed you too. Been hectic here at work and at the house. Will try to make it there tonight. have a great day, and enjoy the coffee!

  6. MOrning.... I don't usually 'do' caffeine, but I could sure use some today. Chocolate mint tea please. *yawn* and some bacon. Hmmm... that should do it.

Today is the first day I am not separating the kitties. They are on their own today. I also put LOTS of sticky tape on the top of the fridge and all over my counters in hopes of keeping Mili on the floor in the kitchen. This morning, when I got out of the shower, Chloe had 'bottle brush' tail and was in my room. I expected to find Mili on the fridge, despite the tape - NO! OK... she must be behind the love seat... so I go look. She is watching all of this from the kitty castle! She was NOT hiding! Progress...

Oh... and there was some hiss/growl last night. They were closer. After Chloe got done with her 'lecture' to Mili... she backed away and just sat. Hmmm... yep.. I think we are definitely making progress.

Sorry for the long post... but I don't talk about my cats much at work... not any cat people here. In fact, I've been here for 1.5 hours and have said all of maybe 4 words. It's such a strange job some days.

  7. Catwoman, I too love the Princess Bride! So does my husband and we consider it one of "our" movies. I have friends that when they were much younger looked like Wesley and Buttercup. When their kids were old enough I bought them the DVD and told them the movie was about their parents.

  8. Good Morning my TDK family...I Need coffee...I Want Chorizo & Southern fried taters. Haven't had it in years. Absolutely yummmmmmmy. Oh.....And could I get a BIGGER cage please? Now that they(4 newbies) are all moving around,They have no room. My last cage is too dang small for them. They're going to be real cuddle & purr buckets. Miss Friendly & Zoomie already are.

  11. That's good news, Catchoo. I forget — were you planning to keep them all, or are you looking for homes for them?

    Posted 4 years ago by Cats4Cats #

  12. *looks around to make sure there are no doppleganger cafes
Phew, only one to visit today

  13. The Princess Bride is one of my favorites as well.

Posted 4 years ago by MeezerMama in OK; 10/23 #

  14. Catherine...no way can I keep them. I'm growing frustrated because I'm hearing no word from the organizations I've contacted so far about taking the ones I already had. And now I have 4 to add. The kits clearly do not have enuf room in the one cage they're in. I've been trying for months. I know I need to get out of the relationship I'm in,but, can't do it until I find homes for the animals. I'm getting so close to stopping the reproduction cycle, but,if I don't catch the meezer out there soon she'll have yet another litter.

  15. Morning everyone ;) MM too funny, the doppleganger cafes figured it was enough with the eclipse last night and must be behaving today.

Posted 4 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  16. That's really irresponsible of those organizations, to not even contact you. I wish I could help.

  17. ((Hugs everyone))

    I missed breakfast.........so what's for lunch?

  18. I just came from feeding the outdoor ferals. The nasty rains we were expecting are now dropping on us. I hate winter. I used to love it until I had ferals to worry about out there. And now it looks like my biggest feral boy, Bootie is sick. Don't know what's going on yet. He's never, ever not come running to eat. I call him Mr. Ed sometimes cuz he eats like a horse. Until this morning. He won't touch a thing. If you guys could pass on one of your healing light prayers,it would be so wonderful. I have no money for vet bills of any kind & I don't want Bootie feeling bad. I'm going to squirt down some antibiotics into him & hope that & your prayers are enuf to make him better.
*saying to self rain, rain go away, come again some other day(like next year)*

Posted 4 years ago by feral #

  19. Prayers and white light for Bootie. Hugs for you too, hon.

  23. Any nice, hot coffee? Please? I'm just having a rotten kind of day!

Went to play tennis and it rained. Rules say we have to wait an hour just in case it stops - which of course it didn't! Went to lunch with the team and had a nice BURNED piece of pizza! Then I got a ride home and had to ride my bike to work. It wasn't raining at my house, but of course it starts POURING on the way to work. I was completely drenched! At least I had a dry shirt at the office, but my pants are soaked and clinging to me and I'm quite sure if I took my shoes off, I could pour water out of them!
Now I've been at work for over two hours and I'm still wet, and I'm freezing! To make matters worse, it's just one of those days at the office! Everything I do is wrong, and I have to re-do it! Boss is dodging phonecalls and I now have a 4 person list of people he will speak to.

I want to go home! But if I can't, how about something nice and hot to warm me up?

Posted 4 years ago by GreatDane #

  24. Okay, then, I'll just sit here in the cafe waiting and dripping on the floor......

Posted 4 years ago by GreatDane #

  25. GD...It's the Full Moon I tell ya. Like clockwork. If it makes you feel any better,I just got thru moving the newbies out of the computer room & into the livingroom. I put them in the bathroom cuz it's small,& I figured less scary. Wrong assumption on my part. Let's just say. They're going to grow old in that cage before they ever get out again. Only kidding. But then I had to clean mess up in bathroom. I had a candle that sits in the center of rock(for my feng shui moments in there). Well, half the rock are now down the sink. Oh joy.
BTW...are your shoes going squish, squish, squish? I hate when that happens. If you can afford a starter for it(about $50.00 after return of old one) & transporting, I'll give you my Chevy Nova. I'm serious as a heart attack on that. It's not much to look at anymore, but, you'd have something to drive.

  26. Mama Lynn walks into cafe to greet her. Waves, Yoo Hoo!!! Over here, Great Dane! Hands her warm cup of hot chocolate and Baileys, gives her new pair of black pants and shoes, and a towel. Sends her off to change. Ok, she's back and looking much better. Mama sits down next to her and says, how's the day going. Great Dane tells her all about it, Mama gives her hugs and says all will be well. You ok, need anything more? Ok, Mama must leave now almost time for her to go home. Waves Bye Bye, hope the rest of your day goes better. See you soon!

Posted 4 years ago by Lynn from PA 6/8 #

  27. Thanks, Mama Lynn - I needed that!

Susie, wish I could just zip to CA and take the car off your hands! Too far, though! :(

Posted 4 years ago by GreatDane #

  28. GD, I can't believe how big Milo is getting! He is growing by leaps and bounds. I hope you are dry now, it is raining here too. Take care and give Bob and Milo a couple of chin scritches for me.
    Peace,
    Tinafish

  29. Will do, Tinafish!

I made it home without getting any wetter - I was still wet from the ride TO work! Now I'm comfy in my jammies with decaf and Bailey's. I think I deserved that!

Posted 4 years ago by GreatDane #

  30. Being at home and comfy in jammies is a good thing. I am in that state myself. Time to put on a pot of coffee and break out the bailies myself! Meatloaf is in the oven for dinner.
