   Well, everyone, it is now totally official! We are closing on the new house on Wed (which happens to be my birthday! What a b'day present!!!!!) I'm excited and a bit scared too, but this is going to be great. For those who don't know, I was driving 1 1/2 hours to work, now only 25 minutes!!!! Yea!!!

    New house superstitions... any out there?

    I was always told the first things into the new house are:

    1 of each coin - you'll always have money
    1 piece of bread - you'll always have food
    a broom - you're house will always be clean

    I have the coins from my first apartment 34 years ago. Oh my ! That's a long time ago !!!

    Oh Terri, I'm so glad for you. Cutting your commute will be wonderful plus getting a new place is always fun (except for the packing and unpacking part). Congrats to you. ((hugs))

    The first thing I'll do at my place is sweep the porch and patio to chase the bad spirits away. And then I'll find a place to put my elephant (the one with his trunk in the upright position) and point it at my front door to make sure they STAY away. I'm fairly intelligent, but I have my superstitions too.
