Tessie was doing really good and then on Monday and Tues vomited again and on Wed night and this morning she quit eating. I force fed her a little and when I got home she had perked up but I called her Dr. and got her in. I am normally a really easy going person but when the receptionist told me that she couldn't get her in until Monday I said I need to have one of the DRS (she has seen both for this) call me because I want to know what to do. So she was agreeable to this but I was real proud of myself for insisting and then they had a cancellation so we got in to see the first one she saw. She had finished the steroids but did not seem to do as well on the once a day-- so is going to twice a day for a month. She might not have been on them long enough. Please pray for us-- The possibility of lyphonmia is still out there if its that we will know all too soon

I will say I don't think the girl realized how seriously sick Tessie has been because they see so many. I'll have to admit if I'd been the sick one I'd probably waited until Mon. LOL

Catchoo, She did respond really well to taking two pills a day and was doing really good. I want to see how she does by going onto two again. She wasn't on them a long time---I won't hold on if she keeps getting worse. She had several days when she was doing really good.

Sandi...I wish only the best of Healing light & Prayers for Tessie. I was so hurt the time when I had to help my Julie over the bridge. And you always wait for that one card from the vet that really closes the book on your baby's life. Well,I never recieved a card from them. Weeks later I was still sobbing up a storm from not getting that little card of acknowledgement from them that they understood my pain. One Sunday a few wks after she passed,I called their after hours line sobbing like crazy over not getting a card. I had a card for every baby I ever lost. It was part of my closier process. The following Monday,they called me telling me they sent one & that the postal service must've lost it. I told them the postal service had never lost any mail coming here ever. You know they never even considered sending another card(I don't believe they ever sent a first one). So I have no closier card for rememberance of my baby Julie. Long story short...It's good you were aggressive. It keeps you from getting all tied up inside & keeps a clear communication open with your vet on how you feel about your pets. Give a chin scritch to Tessie for me. {{{HUGS}}}

Susie, it must have been so hard for you to help end Julie's suffering. I'm sorry that you never got a condolence note from the vet's office, but the important thing is that you loved Julie and did your very best for her - just like you do for all the kitties you help take care of.

Hugs, prayers and purrs to Tessie and Sandi. I hope Tessie gets better but if it is her time, that you are able to decide how to help her.

Susie...God Bless you my little sis...I always feel your pain so deeply. Little Julie would want you to be the joyous, happy person she knew you to be...you must give that to her in this, her time of 'happy dancing over the bridge'. It's the only way she can be truly joyous....and it's soooo much what I wish as well.. {{{Hugs}}}

Hi Sandi, so sorry to hear that Tessie isn't feeling well. I have been out of the loop a bit so I don't remember all of her symptoms. I just got through reading an article about things animals shouldn't eat and it made me think of you and Tessie. It was something about xylitol (sp?) poisoning. Animals that eat sancks or human food sweetened with xylitol caused cats and dogs to be fatigued, vomit, possibly a rapid heartbeat. I can't remember all the symptoms it caused. I would have to try and find it again. I just thought I'd mention it, so you could ask your vet if it was a possibly. Anything to help a fellow catlover find out what's wrong. Maybe trigger an idea or question. Hugs and purrs to you and Tessie. Get well soon Tessie.

Thanks Renee, she doesn't like people food and I don't know that I have anything like that here but I will keep my eyes open. I caught her munching on plants so the poor things are up and away from light but checked them out with the vet so can put them back. I am worried but have to know I am doing the best I can for her and if it is cancer there really isn't anything to do but keep her comfortable until it is time for her to go. Susie, I know the pain you felt when you lost Julie and I felt deeply for you. I am so sorry for the thoughtlessness of your vet--
