  1. If Tessie survives this illness I may be creating a monster. This is how it goes every hour or two. Tessie: Feed me now. Hurry up. Me: Good you need to eat. Offers the food she loved last time. Tessie: Is this all you have Me: searches for something that is extra delicious Tessie: Are you trying to Poison me with this Me: no, no remember you love this. Tessie: No I search frantically for some treat or food that will tempt the little tyrant until I find exactly what she wants--I'm happy she is eating and she is happy that she once again has me firmly under her paw.

  5. I am just grateful that she is eating without me shoving it down her throat but I can't resist the humor of the situation. The other cats are somewhat jealous. she was also playing with her toy tonight and she hasn't done that for 3 weeks or so

  7. Susie, how is your sick kitty. They sure take the time and energy when they are down and out.

  8. Queen Tessie is back!! Hurray!!
Ok, now admit it, isn't it nice being ruled by a kitty?

  9. Hee hee, I have the same attitude about old cats as I do about old people: once they reach a certain age, they deserve to have anything they want. Tessie sounds like she knows who is boss.

  15. I have to report that I created 2 and a half monsters. Now when Tessie demands food Sophie jumps up to her feeding place and just looks at me until she gets some, too and I think that Molly is starting to catch on to the drill....at least I'm grateful that Tessie has quit being so picky although some mornings she demands two different selections but usually will eat from both. :)

  16. LOL!

The other night I realised I'd run out of Sheba (their treat for coming in at night). No matter, I had something else quite posh, that would be fine. Yeah right. Pickle looked aghast that I would offer her such rubbish and Eric just looked sad and walked away. Button tucked in happily but then she is a feline waste disposal unit...

  17. That is funny! But you have to admit that you have created adorable monsters, and really you don't mind too much! They love you!

  18. Fine Form Tessie!!! Sandi...I love your skills in maintaining Tessie's lofty position! Sounds just like our house! :D

ROFLMAO at MCW's description of Button!!!

  19. Tessie! Way to go! If we all had to endure it, your mom should, too.

My real mother is the culprit who's created all my monsters, um, kittens. When Jasmine was tiny and didn't want to eat her prescription food, I caught my mom sitting on the floor feeding her tiny bits...with MY old baby spoon!

  20. I love feline monsters! Picky eaters and especially feline waste disposal units!

  21. LOL at Lisa! I feel your indignation!! :-)

  22. Now that she is on insulin and I know she has to have food to balance that so to speak she has decided that if she rejects a food or even wants a smorgusboard each food has to be on a different plate or she can't eat it. Also if anything disturbs her even if it is just a paper falling to the floor she has to stop eating and may or may not resume. If she stops someone else eats it but of course, two minutes later she wants more. Which I give her. I miss the good old days when I said eat it or leave it I don't care. Of course in those days she wasn't at all finicky.

  26. Everyone who has had a Tessie in their life say Aye!!!!!!!

We love our Tessie's. They are a challenge but they make life so much more interesting that having an ordinary well behaved obedient cat.

    Go Tessie :)

  27. Stands up and shouts proudly: "Aye"

Posted 3 years ago by Tigerlilly #

  28. Aye!!!! Yes, everyone needs a Tessie!! As long as it's feline....

Posted 3 years ago by lisaeylau #

  29. Aye!

Face it, my loves: we all live under a host of tiny furry paws. :)

    Lisa, how are you?

Posted 3 years ago by Emma #

  30. Join the crowd my friend, it seems that we all create those 'monsters' when our fur-babies get sick and we have to entice them to eat any way we can. My house is the same way, Max got sick now everyone wants their special piece of the pie (so to speak). Oh well if it gets Max to eating I am fine with that.
