  3. Anyone hear from Susie this week? I know she was thinking of surrendering her cats to the local kill shelter. Very hard to do after all the work she has put into saving them.

  4. By the way, something interesting happened last night.

All day yesterday, I worked on casting Victorian sugar eggs for an upcoming Easter craft show. You have to mix sugar with egg white and coloring, pack it in a mold, unmold it unto a surface (a square of cardboard works). Then you bake it, and scoop out the excess sugar.

I finished molding 42 eggs of different sizes and colors, put them all on the dining room table, and was more than ready for bed by 10 PM.

At around 2 PM this morning, I heard a strange noise and woke up. It was completely dark and Rotley was curled up next to me sleeping soundly. Then there was a hurried thudding on the steps that meant big goofy Ruggles was galloping up to bed. He jumped on my bed, threw himself at my knees, and got quiet immediately. I switched on the light, and Rotley was looking at me with wide eyes. Ruggles stirred, blinked, and gave a tremendous yawn, as though he had been sleeping with us all night long.

When I woke up in the morning, I found one of my eggs on the floor, smashed. I picked it up, and noticed that Ruggles was purring loudly and twining himself around my ankles.

Somehow, I think Ruggles is a lot smarter (and a lot guiltier) than I realized.

  5. ROFLOL, Emma. That is a great story! Do you think cats have the ability to feel guilty? I wouldn't have thought of it, but Ruggles sounds like he might!

  6. Hello All, Emma sounds like you may be right! Instinct, where have you been, hope all is well. Hello KW, hope things are ok with you and the court. HI CCM, how's things?

  7. Hi, Lynn! Good to see you here. :-) I did as much justice as I could today in court.

  8. You know, I think dogs occasionally fib and feel bad about it.

Cats lie, and they snicker at our reactions.

We can match wits with dogs.

    Cats have us totally outclassed.

  9. That's good KW, glad the wheels of justice are moving along, thanks to you!

  10. So true, Emma!

Posted 4 years ago by Lynn from PA 6/8 #

  11. I have definitely had dogs who felt guilty. There is no other explanation for them slinking away as soon as you walk in the room after they've done something. LOL

  16. Remember the movier "Silverado"?

"You are going to get a fair trial followed by a first-class hanging."

  24. Hi, MamaLynn!

    LV, hope you're feeling better.

KW, you are Lady Justice to so many of us.

And Instinct, I think you do a great "Duke."

Night night, lovies, auntie must toddle off to bed. With one nice sweet cat named Rotley, and a guilty but unrepentant little thug named Ruggles, who is lying on his back in the middle of the bed, snoring and I do believe there is a whiff of kitty-gas in the air.

    Have a good evening, all!

Today was a good yet very interesting day!

We had them working independently on writing numbers 1-30 and leters Captial and lower case A-z. Some have it others ummmmmmmmmmmm! Lets see need help from home to reinforce!

Oh and we had a earthquake drill today! I am embaressed to say I had trouble getting my big butt under the tiny kinder tables to model appropraite duck and cover method! Most embarassing indeed!
