Hi Azdebra, I saw in an earlier post you are thinking of going to SD to visit your father's grave. I hope you do go. You will find it a very peaceful, restful place, surrounded by the Black Hills. I had the opportunity to go there some years back with a friend of mine. His father was to be buried there, had been in the Navy in WWII. Always joked about being a farm boy from South Dakota who ended up in the Pacific Ocean at 19, having never seen a bigger bit of water than a stock dam before! Was your father in service? From his age, I would guess WWII as well. Hope your shift tonight is low key. Sounds like stress may be getting to your co-workers?

Hi all, just a quick stop in. It's been a 2 mouse day today. There's a funny story(I think so)to the last mouse. I heard knocking at my front door and when I answered it there was two kids selling chocolate bars for their school fund raising, I declined politely on the chocolate. Instead of sad faces they grinned at me and said that there was a mouse by my feet that a cat left there. I looked down and there was a wee bedraggled mouse scuttling around the porch. I step out and pick it up to the amazement and I believe disappointment of the kids(bet they were hoping I would scream). I find Shadz sitting at another door looking like she has just lost a mouse. Nature then took it's course.

paulajeanne, thanks and I do love that part of the country, haven't been to the Black Hills area since a teen. I know he was in the Army but not much else yet about that, and he worked for the government as a CPA for many, many years until he retired. I was thinking the same thing, two co-workers in a week having heart attacks is a bit odd.

Yeah, she's come in drenched twice today, once with a mouse and the second time she lost her mouse. Have just let her in for the night,given her milk and cookies and now she has raced upstairs a mach 2 and is probably tucked up on my side of the bed, will have to move her soon to her/Airy's room if I want to sleep tonight.

Bob is too cute with all the pictures, and CW looks very happy! Lol, can only picture Shadz racing up the stairs to get all comfy on 'her' side of the bed....I am lucky that mine only want the 3 other corners of the bed and lil girl wants the crook of my arm to sleep in.

Wished Shadz was like that instead of being a sprawler. We've had a couple of cooler nights and it was nice having a warm cat tucked up against my back so it's not all bad. One request, when you close up shop tonight can you please change Johnboy to Jimmy, he prefers that name. Thanks

Its cooler here tonight too, actually just downright chilly even with it being 47 degrees...shouldn't complain I suppose since everyone else in the states is getting that sucky cold weather.

check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers
check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows open for the southern hemisphere TDKers ,and shut tight for the northern hemisphere TDKers.Goodnight to all the imaginary friends in TDK land, goodnight Erin, goodnight Jimmy. White energy for all those in need. And let us treat the world gently this day >^..^<
