  3. Wonderful and so so sweet. I don't think Lions can purr, but if they could this handsome fella would.

  9. Awwwwwww..OMG...I've seen this many times and every single time I cry..when you know the history and watch closely. You see the slow realization as it comes to the lion and he turns and completely comes off the ground with such glee to see his rescuer. Hug one side, turn hug other side. kisses...I mean how can you not become a blubbering fool when seeing that..Thank You Hammo and God Bless!!!

  10. Google search, ALL CATS PURR, it shows common ancestry.
"Besides a similarity of appearance, all cats have retractable claws: even the cheetah, the most primitive of all modern cats, has partially-retractable claws. The most cat-unique common characteristic, however, is purring: all cats, and nothing but cats, purr. For some time it was believed that the greater cats didn't purr: some texts still say this even today. This is patently not true, all cats purr: lions purr, tigers purr, cheetahs purr, leopards purr, jaguars purr, pumas purr, bobcats purr, domestic cats purr; all cats purr, without exception."

  11. There are two kinds of purring: Aspirant purring and Expriant purring. The combination is the buzz...chuff that we as domestic cat owners love to hear.

Most of the great cats (Those that can roar) do not demonstrate or cannot make the Aspirant purr. The inability(?) to purr on the inhaled breath is one of the markers for defining a cat as a GREATER CAT as not roaring is the signature of the LESSER CATS.

Talk about your silly descriptors. We all know there is no such thing as a LESSER CAT.
