My kittens don’t like the dry food we have. I ran out of he wet food and I’m trying to moisten it up with chicken gravy. But all the eat is the gravy or the wet food. Any tips on how to get hem to eat what I have??

Wet food is generally considered better for your cat/kitten.

Better grade dry can be put out as extra just in case you’re

not around & kits need to be feed. Sometimes you can add a bit

of water to dry kibble to create a gravy too.

Is it kitten kibble? If not the kibbles may be too big. try breaking them up just a bit.

You might try putting the gravy covered kibble in a covered dish to soak it in before serving. If it takes very long do it in the fridge then warm lightly in the microwave before serving.

It is kitten food and I just found out the person I got them from fed them table food as well. Ugh!

Well, there is the stand-off method. You don’t get more until you eat what is before you! There are kittens starving in “country of your choice”!

At least you will find out who is more stubborn, you or the kittens. 1 day will not hurt them. You can mix a little “glop” if needed.

I know you said that you’ve run out of wet food but when you get more in I’d recommend you start mixing in a little dry food with their wet food. I had the same problem with Mona but since I started mixing them in together she now eats a little dry food on its own when her mixed wet food is gone. She’s unbelievably stubborn and can hold out longer than I can – I end up feeling guilty and giving her a second portion of wet food. The vet said that kittens will only eat what they need and not to worry if she has two lots of wet food. Normally wet food has more fat so dry food is important for them later to keep their weight in check. Try it out, good luck!
