  1. I am still needing prayers for Granddad. He went home from the nursing home on Friday only to go into the emergency room on Saturday. He was in a lot of pain and couldn't move. The x-rayed him in the ER and found 3 compression fractures in his spine. During the tests, they also found some spots on his liver and in his lungs so they checked him in for further testing. Yesterday they found a couple of lesions on his brain. Today he began to hallucinate. He was sitting in his hospital room earlier today eating a meal that wasn't there. Needless to say, we are all very frightened. I am at home sick today. I tried to go to work but was sick to my stomach and suffering from vertigo.

  10. Thanks guys. I spent yesterday at the hospital. He's not doing well at all. He still has his sense of humor though. I'm here at work this morning to try and get some things done. He is supposed to have a biopsy today. He is just so weak that they aren't sure he will wake up from the anesthesia.

  12. MeezerMama, I'm so sorry to hear your Grandad isn't doing well. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

A sense of humor helps a lot, though! It can help get a person through the very toughest times. I'm hopeful his biopsy goes well, and they're able to definitively diagnose the problem/s.

  14. Update:
They are not doing the biopsy until tomorrow. They are doing a test today to see if he has double pneumonia. If he does, he won't come home. He has already requested not to be given a feeding tube.

  15. So sorry to hear about your Grandad. I know this must be very hard on your family. It sounds like he has pretty strong opinions as to what he wants/doesn't want. I will keep all of you in prayer.
