   Oh, Joan, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is small comfort, but please remember that he died a hero doing something in which he obviously believed (else he would not have volunteered). I thank God for your Uncle Raymond, and for you.

   Joan,

   Your Uncle had one of the bravest jobs in the world. It takes a strong person to be able to run into a fire instead of run away. I am truly sorry for your loss. Sending prayers and hugs to you and your family.

    So sorry for your loss. Since moving to So CA, I have a new appreciation for these true heros. Every year we deal with fire season and 2 years ago, the fire was just a few blocks from our house..the firefighters were awesome. My condolences to your family.

    This is very tragic news Joan...My heart aches for you as I know how I'd feel if it were my Unkie...He sounds like he was a wonderful man to have been a volunteer firefighter for so many years..it speaks volumnes to his character. God Bless you Joan at this painful time. {{{Hugs}}}
