Hey chaos. How old is cloud now? It sounds like symptoms of cat flu but if it is reoccuring its more than likely feline herpes. Its a virus that has the same symptoms of cat flu -sneezing, eye problems ie.. Reoccuring eye infections.
Feline herpes can be transferred for mother to baby within the first few days if she had it. Like human herpes once they have it in their system it never goes away but flare ups become less and less as they get older. Also sometimesL-lysine helps keep eye infections and flare ups at bay. Flare ups normally occur in times of stress or early development.
Buttons and Nutini have the virus but i give 500ms of L-lysine daily and have no more eye issues with them. I got sick of the constant anti-biotics and lets face it too many anti-biotics can weaken the immune system over time L-lysine on the other hand is a natural occurring amino acid that boosts the immune system.
The only way cloud could have any of the viruses you mention is if he got them inutero or i think one the FeLV and FIP can be transferred through mothers milk.
If he was exposed to the viruses before being born he could test positive for any of the viruses but that could just be the mothers antibodies which can stay in his system for up to a year and actually those antibodies can help cloud build a natural immunity to those viruses in the future.
I think testing him at about 3 months is good if he tests negative then have him vaccinated but if he test positive don’t worry tomuch and retest at a year.
I think more than likely you have a case of feline herpes which is something like 60% the cause of most reoccuring eye and respiratory problems in kittens and cats and L-lysine will sort that annoying virus out and put it back in its box 🙂
