  6. Hey...I was wondering...what about starting a book thread? Can list recommended books...does that seem inappropriate for TDK? Thoughts?

  10. YIKES KYKAT! This IS late in your neck of the woods! What do you think of the book thread idea?

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  11. Works for me. I am a voracious reader. I especially love cozy mysteries. I may start reading Phillippa Gregory since they made a movie out of one of her Boelyn books.

  12. Hi KYK! Me, too. I am a "supporter" of Half price books here. I think I own half the building LOL.

  13. Have you read Outlander or any of that series by Diana Gabaldon? I got the second book at a discount place several years ago and realized a little way in that is wasn't the first. Had to find the first book and read that before I could finish #2! Great series.

  14. Good idea, we should ask Kittenmaster to add it as a category perhaps? Could also include films etc too?

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  15. KYKAT, I've read some of Phillipa Gregory's books...some good, some not so much. I did like The Other Boeyln Girl and there are 2(?) re Queen Elizabeth.

  19. Good evening all :)
I was just reading about the book thread, I think its a great idea.

If you like historical novels..like phillippa gregory, try Legacy by Susan Kay, it's about Queen Elizabeth I, I love that book!!!

  20. Hi cm.
I love the mysteries/cop novels, scifi, fantasy and historical.
I think a permanent thread for books/movies - especially books would be fun.

  21. Bobbi, have you ever read the Sharpe series of books by Bernard(?)Cornwell...historical novels during the Napoleonic wars. Very good!

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  22. cm, how's Maddie?

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  23. Sorry, I was gone for a few minutes.
    No, I haven't.

Posted 3 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

  24. There was a PBS series made from them a few years back with Sean Bean as Sharpe. That prompted me to read the books. They're very well written.

  25. I think a book thread would be great. I love to read and I am always on the look out for new authors. I love The Book Exchange a store here with half price books and much much more. You can take books in and get credit or pay cash. Recently they expanded and opened a coffee bar in the store. Its one of my favorite places to go

  26. Bobbi, I just sent you an email with an "artistic" theme...let me know what you think

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  27. Sandi, I haven't been on much...how's Tessie? and I started a thread called "books"

Posted 3 years ago by linda #

  28. I just looked up the Sharpe books and TV series. Sounds interesting.
    Hi Sandi!!!!!

  29. That sidewalk art is really cool. The artists are great, and I loved the other angles to give you an idea of just how big and distorted the art is.

  30. I haven't been on much either, Linda. I seem to be a little busy lately and tired. I don't know what to think about Tessie. Sometimes she is eating really well and seems to be doing fairly good. Has not been her old self, though. Other times not eating much and quieter. She doesn't seem unhappy or in a lot of pain anyway. She still is vomiting about once a day.
