.. I've admired Jame Lee Curtis since she was photographed, unretouched, for More magazine. Let people - mostly women- see that there is a great deal of makeup, airbrushing and body doubles in movies.

I've always admired her for her classic beauty and this photo shows that you sure don't need all the "do" to be beautiful. I'm curious about her children as I thought that she couldn't have any.

Yeah, I'd seen that too, but didn't know she had adopted. Good for her. According to her chromosomes, she's a male, but during embryonic development external boy parts didn't develop, but neither did internal girl parts. As embryos every baby is a female until then. Afterall, a penis is just an inside out vagina!

Have you read the book, Middlesex, PJ? It is a story of a hermaphrodite as told by the gene that causes it. It is a fascinating book!

Yes Jamie Lee's children are adopted. She happens to be a good writer as well and has written some children's books, one of them is about adoption. I've admired her for awhile too, I believe that she and Chris have been married for over 20 years now (a rarity in the Hollywood world).
Another interesting note on her is that she is titled in the UK (through her marriage). Chris' titled name is Lord Haden-Guest, which makes Jamie Lee's titled name Lady Haden-Guest. She never goes by that name when she is in the states.
