  1. Pipa's mum. Thanks for the help. I can convert 1/4 of a litre and 1/8 of a litre easily. My husband is a chemist and works in metric amounts.

    Boyzandme, the coffee is always hot and fresh at the Cyber Cafe. Plus we have anything in the world you would like to add to it and no problems going to sleep at night! Me personally I am having a Vanilla Latte at the moment with extra whipped cream and cocoa sprinkled on top! mmmmmm no calories, wont whack out my blood sugar!

  3. The sun has passed the yardarm, so break out the wine over here. I have red, white and rose, but more white than anything else. I also have some great organic cheddar cheese (real cheddar, from Cheddar!) or some apple crumble if you fancy sweet. Not too sweet, I put hardly any sugar with the apples so they are quite tart. They are from the tree in my garden.

  4. OP,
    My son is living in a Christian home right now, he is working for the Director building a car port and garage for him. He is 20 years old, just last week! When he is done with that job, I'm hoping he can get a full-time job, but we'll have to see.
    I'm sorry, I'm just not too revealing of his situation, we are all still adjusting. I promise I will be more forthcoming about the whole sorted story, soon.

    PPearson,
    Thanks for the hot coffee! I could use a fresh cup right about now.

  5. No worries, Boyzandme... no need to share if you aren't comfortable. I'll just say that I am here for you, sending positive and healing energies. I've been through hell and back with my older son. Things will work out as they are supposed to. {HUGS}

  6. OP, thank you, sometimes we need to hear that from other parents who have been on the hell train! Oh, he is in Tempe.

  7. Oh Tempe! I live in Mesa.... just 1/2 mile over the Tempe border.

    And yes... hearing from others in the same situation is a big help. You get all sorts of support! The worst of it with my son was a 4 month sentence - the first month in jail, the last 3 in prison -- for a DUI. This, hopefully, has ended his career in 'stupid stuff'...

  8. It was really hot in AZ this weekend, but according to everyone there, it cooled off!

    Well, I will say prayers for you and your son. Mine, was headed down the same path, then I contacted some friends who told me of this place in Tempe. I called down there and asked if they could possibly help my son. They said ok, I then had to convince him that he needed more help than I could possibly give him, he agreed, and now here we are. He looked great when we saw him, his attitude has changed, his whole life outlook! But I could tell he still has work to do, he's not ready to come home, not yet, and quite frankly I'm not ready for him to come home, we as a family are still healing from everything he put us through. You know when I write this all down, it feels...liberating!

  9. It can destroy families ... the behavior can also point out dysfunction within the family which was the case for me. If you want to 'let more out' outside of this forum, with someone who has been down that road, feel free to email me at yellowjeepinATyahooDOTcom

  12. My pleasure... I have found that sharing my story and possibly helping others, also helps me.

  13. Breakfast please. Make that a very large cup of coffee with half and half and sugar or maybe a venti mocha with whip cream. I was awoken either by my husband or a neighbor at 1am this morning. Groan! I had just gotten to bed at 10:30pm so I was fast asleep. Didn't sleep good the rest of the night. Nasty fight with hubby last night. Eggs overeasy, extra crispy bacon, chocolate filled croissants and raspberries, please. Hugs too.
