  1. Hello!

I wanted to update you all on Salem's and Pooky's introduction.

Salem and Pooky have been doing amazing. Salem came around and once I gave him a blanket that had Pooky's scent, Salem stopped hissing and was even more curious about the little ball of fluff that he heard playing around the house. Salem would see Pooky from a distance and sometimes follow him around. Finally this morning, when I woke up to feed them Salem and Pooky were playing.

I let them interact a bit and then seperated them once I went back to bed. Once I got up I invited Salem in for a treat Salem hopped on my bed, were Pooky was, and he ate his treat and took a nap next to Pooky who was awake at the moment.

I'm still keeping a very close eye on them. Still, I'm happy that Salem no longer hisses at Pooky. Looks like Pooky will be Salem's best friend after all.

So thank you everyone for all of your encouragement, kind words, faith, support, advice and friendliness.

  6. Pooky looks like my Molly did when she was little. I bet he will get all the points, too. She is a flame point siamese cross most likely. She is a wonderful cat. I love black cats, too. You have a nice fur family

  9. GreatDane,

I also found it to be quite fast, thats why I'm keeping a close eye on them. Regardless, in a sense it does seem a bit natural when it comes to Salem. Salem was never known to be the aggressive type. He was more of a very shy and friendly, easy going, semi hyper kitty. I suppose Salem just felt scared and stressed of Pooky's new smell. I guess that Salem no longer feels threatened and see's Pooky as a friend.

    Sandi from Mt,

Your actually the second person that has mentioned that. It seems that Pooky does look like a saimese, however, I got the pleasure to meet and interact with the parents of the litter. The mom was a calico while the dad was an orange tabby, and get this, they are both polydactyl; so the whole litter was as well. As for the litter there were three white ones, one black and white one and a black one. However, I do find it cool that Pooky came out with the coloring he has.

    Everyone else,

Thank you for all your replies! I'm glad you love them! I'm currently working on their catster page so I'll be sure to post that as soon as I'm done. ^_^

  13. What a beautiful pair of kits...
Pooky may have had a different father, but there is definitely a Siamese in the genes. The points will darken as he gets older.
I bet they will become Great friends...

  17. You will never guess what happened!

Salem was hanging out with Pooky on my bed when all of a sudden Salem starts licking Pooky! Pooky on the other hand wanted to play. It nice to see all the progress that they have gone through in such a short period of time.
