   Hi Tatianajari...welcome to TDK! I haven't had this problem with my kitties but I understand that two way sticky tape is something that seems to deter this behavior. They learn to associate the uncomfortable sticky feeling each time they jump up and eventually stop doing it. Good luck!

   Hi, my kits loved it there so I put a basket up there for them and wiped the top daily to keep cat hair from falling in the fridg. They also could get on top of the cabinets [open to the cathederal ceiling], that was ther 'safe place' when strangers to them came calling, they loved it. and no problems with it, a great conversation starter.    Welcome to the TDK family, I have two that insist on sleeping in my baskets filled with artificial greenery on top of my cabinets and peek out at visitors until they feel comfortable enough to come out. Its the cats higher places obsession that drives them, keeps them safe from predators. The sticky tape does work for most cats.
